"Bernard Goldberg made a serious error in the Title of his book... It should read like this:

"100 PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN SCREWING UP AMERICA"

True enough! . . . I wonder who he has identified as the NUMBER 1 'screw up"?!

Time for bed!

I like Sensenbrenner too. He's a fighter. He and his office are also very responsive and accessible. I called his office when GW was in Milwaukee for his Social Security talk to try to get tickets to the event which was by invitation (only 400 tickets) His WI office and DC office called me back and arranged to get a ticket put aside for me

You're not kidding, Mike. Learner's permits kept my hair colorist living high off the hog.

Too bad I don't still live in the area. We could have kept your business humming this past year with 3 accidents. Thank God no one was hurt, except my husband's backside where he keeps his wallet!! LOL Man, it's expensive to repair cars.

The pictures of your grandson's are too precious. Bless their little hearts, I'll bet you are a big pushover for those two.

No Pushover, I spend a lot of time teaching them to be good boys. I reward them for good behavior, and never spoil them (Well maybe a little)... :-). Michael just graduated from the First Grade, I helped him with his studies and our agreement was that for every "A" he earned he would be able to go to Walmart with his "Pop Pop" and pick a toy of his choosing for each "A". It was an expensive school year for "Pop Pop", Michael got one "B" and the rest "A's". My Grandson Michael has every "Action Hero" Walmart carries :-), and because Zachary assisted with my tutoring of his older brother, he got to help choose which "Action Hero" Michael would share with him :-)

I see that I have missed you tonight. I'm here late again but I do want to thank you for the Dose.

I've been helping my daughter moved into her new apartment. Boy am I old! Even my little typing fingers hurt! Heh. The Dose is so nice to just sit back an unwind with.

For those interested in the first Danish TV interview w/GWB, it is here at: http://www.dr.dk/nyheder/?top=true

Go down to where it says: "TV AVISENs interview med Bush"

As usual, they start out w/some crappy European questions about us being an arrogant superpower, but our guy is cool and calm. I loved how he said that 9/11 was an attack on us and that maybe the Europeans don't get it, don't feel the same way because it didn't happen to them.

There's also a heartwarming bit about what he does to get to sleep at night - clearing his mind, reading history, going to bed too early for Laura, etc. Apparently the interviewer's daughter asked him this question and the president was gracious in his answer.

We don't often see how GWB is seen from a foreign newsservice, so I thought I would pass this along, especially since it is in English (w/Danish subtitles which is good for me to use to practice my Danish).

Thanks so much for that link, radiohead.

Our W came across as a very down to earth, unpretentious, man. I especially like the question from the interviewer's daughter. Although, I had instant thoughts of Amy Carter !! LOL

I can't. I am cast in the role of dog-sitter while my wife attends a family reunion. Morgantown would be a drive of 4 hours each way. However, I can give you a full report regarding the TV coverage I will be watching.....!!!!

"There is plenty of Border threads to vent your frustrations on, DU is a good place to look"

Do you see the President as an idol or as a man?

Last time I checked, the DUmmies aren't agitating for the president to follow the constitution by protecting our borders. They also want us bound up in internationalist treaties like LOST and CAFTA - the very treaties our President supports.

DU also bans users for not adhering strictly to the party line... and here on FREE Republic, I was banned from posting from last night until 4:20 AM today as a result of the idol-worshippers cries on this thread to AM.

As a result, I would say that your comment is bitterly ironic and very misdirected.

Of course I see him as the President, and as for you suspension, That was your doing, There are plenty of threads for you to bash this President on, and you knew exactly what you were doing. You came here to disrupt period and know it. The Freepers who visit this thread come here so they can avoid obnoxious juveniles such as yourself. So from now on, take your silly posts to one of the threads meant for that.

Cheers

I see.

In your world, idol worship is an adult activity, and so is inability to handle criticism.

Juvenile is to support the President on some but not all issues.

Adult is to be so angry that you ask for all differing opinions to be erased.

Childish is to be able to agree to disagree.

It's all so clear now. Excuse me while my spinning head returns to it's normal position.

You just don't get it do you! This is not a thread for nasty debates, I happen to agree with you about the Border problems, but I'm so ignorant that I blame this President for a problem that he didn't create. What I do is got to a thread on border issues and discuss them there. Is that too hard for you to comprehend?

Post here one more time and I'll ask the AM if he/she thinks you got the message last night or not, OK?

"What I do is got to a thread on border issues and discuss them there. Is that too hard for you to comprehend?"

This is a thread about the President, and I was discussing the President.

Is that so hard for you to understand?

BTW, I don't take kindly to threats or intimidation, and you are a COWARD for threatening that unless you can have your way and the last word, then you will go crying for me to be banned. Again.

If you do it, it says plenty about you and nothing about me.

Good day!
