#2. FReepmail me for assembly point details, times. etc. I'm in Orlando. Do we have someone in St. Pete- Clearwater-Tampa who can take charge on the ground?
I have passed this on to a friend who works with a vets group in KY - and I asked him to pass it on to anyone he knows who might be able to help.
So, I presume that you're referring to Fred Phelps and his Westboro Baptist Church? If they're real Baptists, I'm the alien spacelord Xenu.
Take a shotgun and blow them away. No jury will ever convict you.
I wish I could figure out how to get on each state thread. These same horrible people were on a thread that just showed to Missouri people.
Does anyone know how to get on the state threads? I would like to let the lady that posted it know it's happening elsewhere. Same thing as happened here only different state. They had planned to be at this downed soldiers funeral to interrupt and make things awful for his family and the people that attended his funeral.
If this were my son, I would have a simple graveside service at 12:01 am on 7/4. Never let the freaks have the last word.
They were in Marblehead, Mass. also:

This group is so vile that they defy description. A TV station identified the group as an extreme "religious right" group. I've no idea if that description is from the group's self-description or not.
What they are doing at the burials of our fallen heroes is absolutely vile. Here's a couple links with more detail of their recent activities:

Sounds like a ROAD TRIP.
St. Pete is only 1050 miles from me. 15 hours drive time.
I know a couple of Marines that would love to help out with the driving!
Is anyone starting a list, site, something, to somehow keep track of who might show up? Someone from FR running this thing in St. Pete?
Let me know.
Thanks.
How about dropping a restraining order on this dip and his crew.
Florida jail time could set a precedence for coming events.
Here is a link to another good story about this issue.

I will be happy to change my plans for the day and drive over to St. Pete from Lakeland. He doesn't want us Polk county boys to confront him.
Florida FReepers...you have an urgent issue in your state.
Please contact MindBender26 if you want more details.
As a Marine Corp vet, this kind of sh$t turns my stomach. I am on the other side of the state but this may be worth taking a ride over for. We have had enough of these bastards disrespecting our country and the people that have died that gave them the right to spew their hatred.
I'll be there,
Please Freep me with the details.
If I had nothing left to live for, I would go to this funeral and shoot anyone who attempted to disrupt it in this fashion.
I would aim for groins.
WBC claims America bombed their church. They say that Washburn University students bombed their church and God is punishing America by killing our troops. WBC is apparently organizing demonstrations at numerous funerals of our troops.
In the same sense that WBC is taking outrageous action against our troops, Code Pink is likewise protesting the war at an incredibly inappropriate site, i.e., at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC, where many of most severely wounded troops from Iraq and Afghanistan are treated. FReepers have been peacefully counter-protesting the Pinkos.
A Marine who lost his foot to enemy action in Fallujah has told me that he doesn't want his fellow Marines and soldiers coming into Walter Reed Hospital only seeing the Code Pink war protestors. He stressed how important it was for FReepers to be there to peacefully counter the leftists' morale-sapping efforts.
If you can help counter this insult to wounded troops at Walter Reed this Friday night or on a later Friday night, please join us. Details are here:
FReepers vs. Code Pink at Walter Reed, June 24 (Join us July 1!)
I detect the stench of Fred Phelps.
Might be kinda cool to launch some bottle rockets about the same time their signs come out. I do have a problem with them falling over just as they ignite, though, so sometimes they shoot kinda low.
The freak won't make it to the service - and very well may be attending his own funeral instead.
