Kudos to the WH speechwriting team!

Great wordsmithing tonight. A great speechwriter gets in the head of the speaker and provides him with his own thoughts and words in the most effective manner. Kudos to Pres. Bush's great thoughts, too.

" Looks like Pelosi's using Hitlery's hair-dresser."

Laura Ingraham calls her Bela Pelosi .
With her tremulous , quivering demeanor, I always picture her as a frightened bird terrified that any moment she will be plucked by a hawk.

Kerry sounding off. Pompous, hollow, saying we need leadership when leadership is what we have. Tell Kerry we need perspicacity.

There is something terribly wrong about that woman's eyebrows! They look like they are about to fly up into her hairline. Weird.

George Stephanopoulos remarked the applause was initiated by "someone" from within the White House. (laughs)

That crazy Karl Rove! ;-)

C-span 2 is showing Kerry's speech from this afternoon on the Senate floor, which was basically his editorial in today's NYT....

So, I guess Kerry's pre-recorded speech is their rebuttal?

LOL

BTW--Weasly Clark on Fox News has managed to make me an ex-Fox fan....he hasn't had ONE positive thing to say about the speech or about Bush's administration...and HE TOO--brought up that 9/11 didn't have anything to do with Iraq!!

Blech!

Lee Atwater once said that when your Political Enemy (in this case, the libs enemy is the President) you should step out of the way and let him have it. President Bush just gave a fabulous speech praising the troops. If the Dems were smart they would say so and then shut up. But no,..............

But the libs being the sluts that they are, they can't help themselves, but let them talk. The flip side of Atwaters advice is that when your enemy is digging himself a hole (in this case, the anti-bush crown bad mouthing him and the war) we should continue to hand them the shovles and then step out of the way and let them keep digging.

Wesley Clark is ignoring Atwaters advice on Fox at this very moment.

"What was it exactly, do you think, that triggered the tears from W. at the end of the speech? Just thinking about how great the troops are?"

I have observed our President since he first came into office and one thing I know, is this is an honorable man who at times wear's his heart on his sleeve. I truly believe he honors and is proud of our military men and women, and that every injury, every death, every sacrifice made is felt deeply. So no, I don't think he's just thinking "how great our troops are". To put it that way is to lessen the emotional impact that our military's men and women have on him.
