Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997.   Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.

A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.

Good afternoon! It's 4:53 p.m. and very hot. And getting hotter each day. There were some bumpy noises late this morning, but all is calm and peaceful in my area at the moment.

Thanks for the warning, Gail. You know that your weather comes on over my way. We've had a bit of "warm" weather, but nothing extreme. I love the warm weather. I even love the hot weather. It beats the heck out of winter. I don't get all the complaining about hot weather in the summertime. It's supposed to be hot in the summer. It seems to me that it's not as hot as it used to be. 100 plus degrees was normal in Tenn. when I was growing up. In 1982 in Va. it got 110 degrees and our pet rabbit perished in his pen in the shade. I felt so guilty.

I am supposed to be at VBS but needed to run home as I forgot two of my cameras!!! the one I had had No disk & dead batteries!!! good work huh? fortunately I am only 4 miles from church.. of course took a quick "my comments" review.. came across this last post from this AM on yesterday's thread. After researching the history of Iraq, I realize that I'm walking on some of the same land that Adam and Eve, Abraham, Noah, and Jesus himself has walked upon. I am both humbled and more aware of my purpose here because of it. Evil will not stand--the LORD will not let it.
