Mount Ephraim, NJ (AHN) - Three children remain missing in a suburb of Camden, New Jersey with an intense search on for the kids who vanished Wednesday night.
11-year-old Anibel Cruz, 6-year-old Daniel Agosto, and 5-year-old Jesstin Pagan went missing around 5pm Wednesday night outside of a home they were playing in front of. The families of the missing children searched frantically for the children for four hours and then called police.
Cruz's aunt Jennifer Calo says, "We've done everything we can. The only thing we can do now is hope and pray we'll turn around and they'll be walking down the sidewalk and saying, 'We're here.'"
Jesstin's mother, Jessica Pagan says, "I turned my back for two seconds and they were gone."
Police launched a massive search in nearby wooded areas where bloodhounds tracked the scent of one of the boy's clothing. Helicopters and boats were uses along the Delaware River all day Thursday in hopes of a clue. Officials are also going door to door as well as checking abandoned houses and local train tracks.
Cruz's parents are especially concerned for the health of Anibel due to a serious mental condition the child suffers from that requires medication.
Police are not ruling out an abduction or foul play saying "There's no tangible evidence we've received to say, 'Yeah, there's foul play here, but it's possible."

>>>I doubt I'd even start worrying about him unless he was missing 4 or 5 hours, and even then it would take several hours to check the parks and neighborhood to make sure he wasn't just out playing somewhere.>>>
I'm sorry, but no matter WHERE you live in this country, your 7 year old wandering around parks and neighborhoods for four or five hours at a time is irresponsible. I am one for not slamming another's parenting, but I am appalled at that! How many Amber Alerts do we read about on here? If someone snatched your child they would be in another state before you even knew they were missing!!
Awaiting the flames.
>>>1/2 hr was the max for me. If I hadn't any clue where she might have gone I would have called as soon as the whole house was checked.>>>
LOL! One time my two year old went missing. I hunted the house, circled the house four or five times, screaming almost hysterically. Finally after going in her room one last time I saw a toe sticking out from under the bed. She had crawled up under the bed to retrieve a toy and fell asleep mid reach.
I just saw one of the mothers pleading for her baby to come back...she had tears in her eyes, and they were running down and under her eye.
There are plenty of other kids who would yell back if called for. My kids just aren't that stupid. They know that in danger they NEED to go to stranger (for instance, I have taught them that if they ever get separated from me in a store, or an amusement park, or something, to find a STRANGER with a badge or an older grandma-type lady to get help.
>>>Personally, I just refuse to be so paranoid that I deprive my children of the same fun I had as a kid.>>>
Paranoia and foolishness are two seperate things.
>>>Sure, there are a LOT of wierdo's in the world, and I would NEVER allow my son to go into that park alone, but with a group of friends?>>>
1)You are assuming that his friends would stay with him the entire time. Kids go home all the time and you have no way of knowing whether he's alone or not.
2) Did you read the article about the girl who was grabbed while playing with a group of friends? There have been several. How do you figure other 7 year olds are going to do anything to stop a grown person from grabbing your kid?
>>>That picture of the missing 6-year-old's father just broke my heart.>>>
Mine too, you could see the anguish in his face.
>>>On the fourth day "Normy" emerged from the closet! I was an unintended cat thief! I set the doppleganger free. It was all a very strange experience. That cat had never done anything like that before or since that time.>>>
It was the Prince and the Pauper, kitty style. :O)
Please put me on the list please.
BTTT. For whatever reason it is sickening that there is so little coverage and response to this. God protect these three children and let them be found safe - soon!
>>>But just think of the very sad corollary to today's fear of perverts. >>>
It's not just perverts, it's MURDERING perverts.
Thanks for the alert. I hadn't been watching much news the past couple of days.
IIRC, an AA is issued only when there are specific details, i.e., car make, license number, name of perp (in case of family member).
Very tragic news ping.
I think we have similar kids... I went into check that the little one was asleep...and she wasn't in her bed, and she wasn't on the couch (another place she likes to fall asleep).. and I searched and searched and finally found her in her closet...sound asleep..
My oldest used to do that too..darn sleepwalking kids... always scared the bejebbus outta me...
Oh no!
Prayers going up.
Who would do such an unspeakable thing to three innocent children? God rest their little souls.
You would think they made some noise - scream, kick, bang on trunk, etc. Who could force 3 kids inside a trunk, esp. one who was 11? Very strange. I doubt they climbed in themselves and closed the trunk, but who knows. How tragic!
