Been lurking on here for a couple of days. Better and more informative than FOX.
The way this is starting to unfold is making more sense.
Early on, Russ Fine, of 101.1 in B'ham, had stated that he had it from a very reliable source that there was a lot going on behind the scenes in this case.
What he alluded to was that a kdinapping had taken place, but could say no more than "there are people involved at very high levels."
Perhaps his source was correct. Thusfar, no body has been found. The longer the little brat behind bars stays silent, the colder the trail grows, IMHO.
I tend to think (and pray)that Nat is still alive, and being held at a location other than Aruba.

GHB has been around a long time - long before it was called the Date Rape Drug. It was around when I was a teenager in the early to middle 1980's.
I saw the show ... and she seems level headed. But so much about this case is puzzling.
Also, I understand that the entire trial will be held behind closed doors (if there is one). But does the public EVER get to hear what happened?

I think the planned use of a pharmaceutical or illegal substance during a sex crime is definitely premeditated rape.

Like most everything else, it is pure rumor and speculation but I did hear small amount of chatter re ransom being paid today. Was face to face communication, not on internet nor in media. A friend of a friend heard. I live in Alabama with relatives in Mountain Brook. But I cannot verify in any way and have heard other rumors that turned out not to be true from same sources. Gossip, in other words. What I heard was the natural father of Natalie had made arrangements for payment via insurance policy he holds on all family members or had filed a claim on that policy.
I find this hard to believe since he is out in the garbage dump digging for her body. But in the absence of facts, people will talk, hoping something is being done and some how she is still alive.
So perhaps the search team will be able to at least get the dad out of the dump as it seems they have finally decided the certified dogs are not going to infest their island with imaginary diseases. In fact, one might think they would be more concerned about all that garbage rotting in the heat with all sorts of discarded appliances and vehicles leaking who knows what instead of four immaculate canines doing professional work. I don't remember seeing any photos of the dumps in the travel brochures, either. Rather poor sanitation practices for a place so concerned about contamination via search dogs.
As I understand it there are three dumps and a pond between the home of the VDS and the two brothers' home that may be a starting point. Have to wonder why these have not been searched already but can only surmise it is because they did not want to find anything and only looked where they thought nothing would be found. But if her body was thrown in there and things have since been added on top of it, as in the case of the Hackering woman in Utah, they might not have been able to retrieve it for better hiding. At least not without attracting major attention or some sort of moving equipment depending on what has been added since the body. Just a thought.
Also, can anyone provide a link to the article which appeared around the time Joren was taken into custody the second time that contained a quote by the Chief of Police or other high ranking LE to the effect "How can I do this to my best friend's son?" I read it at the time but did not realize how meanigful it was. Wish I had kept the article and if anyone knows where I can find it please send me a link as I would like to have that as a reminder of how this all came to be such a royal mess.

The Revlon heir used the stuff and filmed his victims. I remember some of them saying they had no recollection of the things they did while under the influence of GHB. He escaped to Mexico during his trial, but was caught by a bounty hunter. They made a TV movie of his case.
My thinking is, it's a family affair. They're all involved in her murder. They're thinking they could get away with it based on the fact they are rich and famous people living on that island.
Must not take very long to kick in. The Kalpoe brothers' mother said they told her N was very drunk when they were driving around. That wasn't too long after they left the club, I think.

Amazing...unfreaking believable post! -- I remember the dumps while there years back. I'm sure they are lots more expansive than then.
Hope this girl is found alive. And if God has already taken her, both creepy stubborn son and father should pay the ultimate price.
I cannot imagine that "premediated" doesn't mean something CLOSE to what it means here, can you?

That may very well be why they are using the term of Pre-Meditated Murder, hoping the two brothers will tell all, for a plea deal.
Right, but if they kill her it will be impossible to get rid of her body with the search teams and publicity around. If she's alive, her kidnappers are probably flipping out.
Wasn't there a rumor about Joran's half brother Lorenzo being involved? He is Daddy's son from a previous relationship. He is supposedly close to Joran.
Daddy and Joran like to gamble. Have they accrued any large debts to unsavory characters?
To a person, all the talking heads have said tonight that there is no way the Aruban police would charge that to use it as 'wedge' between the boys, the father, and the son.
