The Island is 6 to 7 miles deep by about 20 miles long
B-1 = California Lighthouse - where the boys claim they took her first after leaving the Bar.
D-3 = #4 is the location of the 2 Marriott Hotels - where the 2 brothers (and now Joran) claim they dropped Joran and Natalee off after leaving the lighthouse - the 2 brothers claim they went home to Hooiberg after that.
D-3 = #19 is the location of the Holiday Inn where Natalee was staying.
G-5 = Where the red #2 marker is pointing to is the area that the Carlos & Charlie Bar is located
D-4 = Township of Montana is where Joran lives
F-7/8 = Hooiberg (Haystack Mountain) - The 2 Kalpoe brothers live in this area at the foot of the Haystack Mountian.
C-9 = By the Natural Bridge on the map is the location where the sharks hang out as they are fed at this location. This is the Shark Infested Feeding Area.
E-3 = Wetland in the Bird Sanctuary is the location where they found the Condoms/Condom Wrappers - Duct Tape (looked like black electrical tape to me) - Female Flowered Panties - and a String or Strap from a Bikini or Halter Top.

Kalpoe also allegedly told John that about an hour after dropping the couple off he received a cell phone text message from the Dutch teen, saying he would e-mail Kalpoe as soon as he got home. Kalpoe said the Dutch youth never sent the promised message, John said.
Yes, Greta was on Shep's show in the last hour--he asked her if she could be back for his evening show (on satellite)...she said yes.
You bet she's not going home until tomorrow...she wants to know what happens at 8 p.m.
That's so funny about CNN dogging her steps, and getting all their "scoops" a half hour after Greta has already reported them.
I do think they believed the body behind the cemetary was a suicide. But I thought there was a more recent suicide where the guy drove his red pick-up out to the beach after talking of suicide and hasn't been heard from again.
(I could be wrong as this is from things I've read on AM Digital which isn't the best written paper in the world.)
I forgot about the wringing of his hands. Greta mentioned that.

Hard to believe people are stupid enough to believe they can talk about things like that in email and not leave a record.
Greta said: "... maybe Joran left Nat on the beach, maybe she had passed out. Dumb act..." But we also know that is possible. Shep Smith commented "Wouldn't be the first guy to have done that." I know that as in college kids would pass out and be left wherever they were. It drove me nuts!
Following that it could be that Joran walked home, told dad, who was angry that Joran snuck out and left girl on beach. Dad goes to get Nat...and she was gone!
Now the quandry: None of the three boys is responsible, really. Maybe they all figured she woke up and went back to the motel. But then they became frightened as to how they could be implicated since she it became known that she had disappeared and they saw her last. Could be all the current known players were in the wrong place at the wrong time. It could also be some real, hardened criminal saw her and took Natalee, or she wandered somewhere dangerous.
Police, of course, were not told anything by the boys or Daddy VDS that would incriminate them, out of their own fright. Or, that may have been their tactic at first because they figured she just walked back to the motel. Daddy VDS compounded his son's dumb mistake by not handling it properly. Maybe he, also, just hoped she would show up and truly thought she wandered back to her hotel? Those things often happen at these places, esp. among the young people. It would not have been unusual. Paulus VDS could then have been as surprised as everyone else was when he found out she was not with her group in the morning.
We still have no evidence of the truth.
I am praying and praying that no one who is innocent is implicated, and if there is a guilty person that he is found and gets the worst possible sentance in their justice system.
I am also praying that Natalee didn't just take a wrong turn, end up in the ocean and that "mistake" causes some others trouble none ever imagined, because how could any "proof" of that ever be offered?
If there is any moral to this story it is "Kids....listen to your parents!!! Don't go out with strangers and take risks in the middle of the night. Don't go hanging out in drinking/party places without someone else you know attached to your hip!!! Don't sneak out of the house at night to meet someone when you are supposed to be home. And don't drink to the point that you loose your ability to think and act as you normally would. Terrible things can happen that could change your life forever. And don't --- no matter what--- tell a lie, even if you are guilty or if you are innocent!!!
I bet these two teens - Natalee and Joran - would tell you that if they could!
If his 48 hours ends at 8 p.m. tonight, then when was he arrested?
I was taken it that he had just been arrested some time today.
I thought I read somewhere he said "We need to talk," or somethign like that. I could be wrong.
It's really amazing, isn't it?
I've followed a lot of cases on cablenews/internet, and this is the first where a TV reporter may have made the difference in the outcome.
Of course, Greta bonded immediately with Beth Holloway, and ever since, they've been acting like a joint task force of two.

I was listening to the father of a girl who was only beaten to within an INCH of her life advise that two is really not enough, you need to be in a group of three or more. I think it's good advice.

Sigh, where did I go wrong? A question I've asked myself over and over. As to the 12 year old who lied about the report card, he ended up at MIT at 15. He'd pick my brain about politics, and I thought I'd indoctrinated him pretty well in conservative thought. But where is he now? In NZ, a psych professor at a University, committed to whatever Liberal anti-American nonsense the EU crowd and Cambridge lefties believe. He was in MA few weeks ago and we almost had a food fight at the family barbeque.
Could there be something he said when Beth and Greta were there and the camera was off, when they surprised him by showing up unannounced? Are we certain that she is only talking about the exclusive on-camera she did with wife and hubby? Just wondering...
