PETA is an Animal's Worst Friend
Canada Free Press ^ | Thursday, June 23, 2005 | Nathan Tabor

What? Yes, you read the title right. PETA is the worst friend an animal could have these days. Normally an organization takes its mission statement and tries to fulfill it. Not PETA.

In their 25th year fighting for the rights of all animals "PETA believes that animals have rights and deserve to have their best interests taken into consideration, regardless of whether they are useful to humans. Like you, they are capable of suffering and have an interest in leading their own lives; therefore, they are not ours to use–for food, clothing, entertainment, experimentation, or any other reason."

Back to reality and what PETA really does. PETA doesn’t stand for the "ethical treatment of animals." According to the Center for Consumer Freedom, in 2003 alone PETA killed over 85% of the dogs, cats, puppies and kittens it took into its care. During the same time the Norfolk SPCA and Virginia Beach SPCA adopted out 73% and 66% of its animals respectfully. A nearly opposite turnover.

"They are left wing radical terrorists, only slightly less extreme than the Weathermen, for example, who regularly and openly commit conspiracy, vandalism, public nuisance, mischief, arson, theft, breaking and entering, grand theft, larceny, AND cruelty to animals, all in the name of helping animals."

***

Ted Nugent some years ago received threats from one or more purported PETA members (of course PETA denies it). Something like, you kill Bambi, so we're going to kill your children. Sick.

I guess he was never able to actually prove these threats came from PETA or its members, but I would believe Ted over anyone from PETA.

Penn and Teller had a BS episode on PETA and it was awesome. If you have not seen it, then by all means check it out. It exposes them in every way.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with Penn and Teller. Who are they? If I knew, I would almost certainly check out the documentary.

There mission statement should state "Radical Animal Killers spending millions on teaching children to be vegetarians, telling milk drinkers they are Nazis (Durbin wants to be their spokesman), promoting a meatless Thanksgiving, defending violent extremists and killing helpless animals."

I love their Durbin addition to the story! Hilarious!!!

Penn & Teller is one of several magic acts in Las Vegas which uses animals. Something like Siegfried & Roy (now defunct following Roy's mauling some months ago).

I can't speak for Penn & Teller, but several of these acts have been accused of cruelty to their animals by PETA and some other affiliated nutjobs...and these claims are bogus. I know that S&R was (and I believe still are even though the act is dissolved), in the forefront of animal preservation, particularly of their extremely rare white tigers and white lions. It makes sense that legitimate performers would want to protect and preserve their animals; without those animals, those acts would cease to exist.

I bet they don't think twice about the billions of insects that give so that PEATA people can have unblemished vegetables.

Oh the typos! Trying again:

I bet they don't think twice about the billions of insects that give their lives so that PETA people can have unblemished vegetables.

Speaking of PETA, in noodling around Foxnews, I found this related item:

N.C. Counties Accuse PETA of Killing Animals

PETA Workers Charged With Animal Cruelty

NORFOLK, Va. — Two North Carolina counties have stopped turning over shelter animals to People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, saying they were surprised the group euthanized cats and dogs instead of trying to find them homes.

Brandi Valladolid is so delicious...There's one endangered animal in need of rescuing. I'll find some way to pry the brainwashing out.
