Earlier today the two local leading scientists from USGS were saying that while the earthquakes might be somehow related (the Chilean, the Aleutian Islands, the Anza quake and now the Yucaipa quake) they were going to have to study them further to determine if there in fact was a connection."

I'm very surprised that lately the scientists are almost admitting what some have been saying all along. A friend in San Diego told me the other day after the 7.0 that the local earthquake experts wouldn't rule out that Anza could have triggered the 7.0 off the No Calif coast.

Now the big question is whether the 4.9 yesterday was the type of stress motion to trigger anything on the SAF which is very nearby.

This is a report from Frank Condon who monitors Southern California everyday for unusual occurances. Yes, he does have a page on Jim Berkland's site but I think with all the big activity happening in California that we should err on the side of caution. Anyone within shouting distance of the SAF should have earthquake supplies on hand. WATER, canned food, first aid etc.

I'm still putting together a report to be released before morning, which has all of the latest anomalies observed before and after the M4.9 Yucaipa Earthquake. However, I felt it important to share with you that the micro quake listed NNW of Devore at Blue Cut (23 km Depth) is adjacent to the San Andreas fault and appears to be associated with the most Eastern(Glen Helen)Branch of the Northern San Jacinto fault zone at the pressure ridge (Lytle Creek) between the San Andreas fault and the San Jacinto fault zone. It's also very close to the shear zone at Blue Cut. A high frequency ULF burst was detected within a short period of time after the micro quake NNW of Devore, CA epicentered in the Cajon Pass. We now have direct nucleation of stress at the Cajon Pass, which is a stone's throw away from the "Big Dog." In consideration all of the previous unclamping that has already taken place, for almost an entire year now (July 2004). I felt it necessary to upgrade the seismic alert to a Mojave Desert and Inland Empire Seismic (short term) WARNING. You can expect this to last through the next Full Moon and Perigee 32 hours later, when extremely high spring tides occur along the coast on June 23, 2005. Please take all necessary precautions and secure your food and water sources in the event of a major disaster.

When you review this map the fact that the Pacific plate is moving seems obvious.
