On Greta last night - she had that Dario reporter with her and he said the Honda belonged to Kalpoe. (I think he said the older one, as Deepak was the subject right before she asked him who owned the Honda)

The boys come from a middle to upper class family. The father is a business man on the island. (not sure what he does but I heard he was "not" into car rental.)

See that is what I am saying. Geraldo and O'Reilly have spouted out so many incorrect things about this case and about people involved it is just sickening.

At least they are or were spouting. As long as errors are corrected. Good faith reporting is what matters. As long as someone is spouting the story says alive. With so little happening the last day or so, I'm concerned that it may be getting slid under the rug as we speak.

I don't know how big this van der Sloot kid is but I'm guessing that he would have trouble disposing of a body all by his lonesome.

MY NAME IS xxxxxxxxxxxx and I am a resident of Aruba. I am a retired policeman, having served with the police department for more than 21 years. I believe that I can say that I have more than average knowledge in police management and practical experience in investigation and interrogation techniques.

I already had my doubts about the (possible) real story behind the disappearance of Natalee Holloway after 3 or 4 days of such being reported in the media. The doubts ebbed away a little after the arrest of the two security guards. Hearing the (possible) alibi of one of these guards, I told many around me that they would be freed within 2 or 3 days. This did not happen and I have my personal thoughts about this. The arrest of the 3 ‘original suspects’ who were labelled ‘witnesses’ at first, while the two security guards were still detained, further broadened my doubts about this whole nightmare for Aruba and its people. There are still a lot of questions to be answered, irrespective the fate of Natalee Holloway and it might well be that these three suspects will turn out to be (unwilling?) witnesses after all. I believe that Natalee is alive and possibly (still) in Aruba. My heart goes out to her family and I hope that I am right. If not – God spare – I hope that the family will understand that everything should be done to find her. That is the main objective at the moment.

Too many rumours have been going around since the first week of the disappearance of Natalee and I believe it is time that everybody who is connected some way or the other to Natalee, should be interviewed in a serious manner. These rumours must be verified. To do this, there is no better way than by using the polygraph. Admittedly, even in the US, only a dozen or so states accept the polygraph as evidence in its courts of law. However, most states permit the use of the polygraph (lie detector) as a very powerful investigative tool. I believe that the persons close to Natalee can be interviewed in Aruba by a (accredited) FBI polygraphist, who will evaluate this, and the results (charts) should also be given to a private polygraphist in the US engaged by the Government of Aruba for evaluation.

This procedure would have been very common in the US, and it is a pity that no one has even mentioned this possibility. Some local media may feel intimidated to publish this point of view that I am suggesting, but I believe that all concerned will be well served by it.

Greta did a very good interview last night. I guess that is why she is there and Geraldo back in the states. He could not do anything right probably because he was in Aruba flirting and showing off, the old fart.

He had to come back and have a live news lovers spat with Marcia Clark over the Michael Jackson verdict.

I was most impressed with Natalee's mother, Beth. She is determined and she is strong — she is not going to leave Aruba until she finds her daughter. It is hard to comprehend what this mother is going through. What "surprised" me later was myself — I thought I sounded harsh in the interview. My heart goes out to this mother and I thought when I watched the interview that I appeared not to have empathy. Nothing could be further from the truth. I would do anything to help this mother! So, as I watched the interview for the first time (when you also saw it), I was not happy with myself. I wondered if when I am upset for someone I seem cold... maybe that is my defense mechanism? Anyway, I am not going to dwell on that — we have far more important things to do like try and find this child (and the many other missing children who are not getting the same media attention, which I regret.)

We did our show from the patio behind the hotel. Many local people showed up to watch. FOX News' Atlanta bureau is responsible for setting up the show here — and I can't believe the job they did! They did an absolutely perfect job.

After the show we were all exhausted. We have been on the road and the heat, as I noted, is punishing. But we had one last stop. We turned off the lights on the set, jumped in the car and drove into town with our cameras. We wanted to see the club where Natalee was on May 30 and wanted to see it at the time of the night/morning when she was there. I was stunned. Maybe I am getting old — or am old. I did not like the place at all. The bar is about a block off the main drag and in a not-so-safe looking area to me. The island IS safe... but this block did not leave me feeling safe. Of course the hour — 1 a.m. — never makes me feel safe and the drinking was heavy by that time. We talked to many patrons and taped them for you... you will see that tonight. All the patrons said the club is a great place and that the island is safe.

We were harassed a bit by some obnoxious patrons but that would happen outside a bar in the USA. But bottom line, I did not feel safe there and neither did anyone in my group. I hope my husband does not read this blog today because he will yell at me for going there — to a place that I did not find safe — at that hour! If he does read it: I am not going back and I was with a crew of people!

Such a shame that those kids from Alabama thought it was a safe place for their partying.
