The Minuteman Project, and other volunteer border patrol groups, are expected to face their toughest opposition yet when they move to California this summer for a series of events along the Mexican border.
A growing resistance movement made up largely of Hispanic activists, some of whom accuse the Minutemen of practicing vigilante-style justice, say they will hold a series of protests to coincide with the border patrol operations.
The rising opposition comes at a time when the anti-illegal immigrant passions, fueled by the Minuteman Project movement, are gaining momentum across the country. The Minuteman Project came to prominence in April when it organized a month-long patrol along the Arizona-Mexico border.
Then shoot back, you're in Texas not Massachusetts or Maryland. Show them what half a dozen .50 calibers look like in the middle of the night. They'll think they're at a 4th of July celebration.
rectum? Hell, dang near killed him!
The government would rather everyone just stay home. The Minutemen probably arent prepared for the political climate of California, said George McCubbin, a Border Patrol agent and southwest vice president of the National Border Patrol Council.
We have a bunch of, well, in plain English, loony tunes out here [in California] waiting for the Minutemen to show up, he said. Those [Minuteman] volunteers are good citizens who just want to do the right thing; Im hoping they dont get involved in any type of violence. I just dont think they are ready for these [advocacy] groups and what they might throw at them.
But neither does McCubbin want assistance from the Minutemen. We thank them for their interest but we really dont need their help, he said.
I realize that he seems to be discouraging the minutemen, but he probably has to add this disclaimer because of his job. At least some officials recognize that the pro-illegal immigrant supporters are mostly idiots and criminals.

Their permit to protest should be disallowed on grounds of danger to public health. Some of these wetbacks may have drug resistant tuberculosis.
I don't think the red necks around this part of the country like their company.
I hope the minuteman effort spreads and that citizens who can fill their rolls take up positions along the entire border. I hope that it forces a change in our border and illegal alien posture back to something sane and something more aligned with the critical security and societal issues of our Republic.

Gee..where did they hear that line from? The President?
If these protestors aid any illegal aliens in crossing the border, they should be arrested.
Cali is going to be very different then a remote stretch of Arizona. For one thing, the open carry gun laws in Arizona made the traitors quite hesitant about initiating actual violence. In Cali, the traitors will know that any Minutemen wandering around the boonies will be unarmed, so there is a greater chance of being ambushed or shot at.
Not being a Californian I'll have to defer to you on the safety issue. BTW what's California say about carrying crossbows? That might be a solution.

CCW's are allowed. So is a rifle in the trunk.
I hope the effort grows and forces change for the better...like the novel idea of taking control of our borders.
Way to go! You never hesitate to get out there and stand up for what's right no matter how yugly and intimidating the opposition. Thank you for setting a fine example for those members here who like talking but lack the gumption to go out there to back it up. Your diligence and courage are an inspiration and proof that citizens who care can still make a difference.
It was the slob 9th court that put 187 down NOT the people. The "looney tunes" are still slobbing after citizens. If all these slobs actually victor, they get to feed on each other. It's a dark, albeit, win win.
Sorry, but I cannot resist.
The only federal ruling that I recall was one by US District Judge Mariana Pfaelzer.
Prop 187 was passed by 60 percent of the vote in 1994. I am proud to report that as I recall some forty percent of Californians who voted came out to vote specifically for the "Save Our State" initiative. Some 30 percent of Americans of Hispanic origin voted for it, about the normal percent who vote coservative.
There are lots of sources on the Internet telling the history. I'll just say here that Democrat and opponent of Prop 187, Gray Davis was elected governor in 1998. He refused to support an appeal of Pfaelzer's ruling.
Shortly after taking office he helped arrange mediation of Prop 187. Only opponets were invited, no proponents allowed.
End of Prop 187 -- and as a prominent representative of Mexico living and working in California noted, it was the last gasp of white America.
"Hispanic activists" better read as "hipanic militia funded by globalist American haters."
