As an European, I have to admit I'm pretty disgusted tonight as I thought there was still some sense of morals and justice in the US.(unlike Europe)

Heaven's no.
But I damn sure am more confident in this jury--which was racially mixed and generally considered "favorable" to the prosecution--than I am in a bunch of people who treated the entire thing as a soap opera.

Anyone else think Teri Hatcher could play Jackson in the mini-series? What did Teri ever do to you? BTW nice see you back (oh, and a few Ireland related pings for you)!

Sneddon did the right thing not answering the question about pursuing MJ. Had he answered he was done, it would give free license to MJ to continue his activities. Which he's going to do anyway.

Michael Jackson is as innocent as Bill Clinton...

Regarding Jackson? Good grief! I have personally seen just how hard it is to prosecute child molestation cases and just how frequently they get away with it, usually because 1) the kid doesn't tell until a long time later, or 2) no one wants to put the kid through the trauma of a trial. As witnessed here, who can blame them? That's why children are such perfect targets.
I also have seen the long term effects on the victim's life.
Jackson is classic. His obsession with children. His obsession with childlike fantasies. His sharing his bed. The physical contact. Alcohol. It couldn't be more obvious.

My prediction Snedden will not bring forth any further case against MJ while he is in office.

It sounds to me like the DA's of California need to be taken back to Law school.
They've only won ONE of the last four high profile cases in their state.

The job of the prosecutor is NOT just advocacy. It is to labor for truth. The prosecutor has just as much duty to see the weaknesses and NOT prosecuting a bad case as prosecuting the good cases. Otherwise the prosecutor's job is to win at any cost. (a mistaken notion of many a prosecutorial hack)
True!! When I was a prosecutor, in more than one case I dismissed it when it became apparent that the wrong person had been charged. It isn't easy to do, but it is the right thing to do.

Except Martha Stewart got convicted.
Also Michael Skakel, though not a celebrity was cousin to the Kennedys.
Of course, those were East Coast trials.

I like Gloria Allred's positions on many issues but sometimes the talking points wear thin when it's over and over.

I'd like to see the jurors asked if they'd send their children to the Neverland ranch for a weekend? If not, why?
