I don't agree in this case. Juries are also made up of dumb people, that is why some of them vote democrat.

I knew he would not be found guilty. The case against him was weak. The D.A. screwed it up rather badly. So I am not surprised. He is a child molester. He cant help himself. He will do it again. He eventually will get caught.

What worries me is that all those people who where there waving flags, crying and cheering, and one woman letting doves fly for every count of not guilty actually will be walking amongst us once again.

Oh well, the people of California get what they deserve. And thats coming from someone from the land of Ted Kennedy.

Did anyone here actually think a California Jury could find someone guilty of such a serious offense? The jury is probably smoking a joint with Jackson now.

Sounds like a lot of people on FR "convicted" MJ on the basis that he is: a) a celebrity, and b) weird beyond description.
Pretty much sums it up.

Sounds to me like the jury gave MJ a pass precicely because he IS (a)a celebrity.

No, I cannot, anymore than I can tell myself that the O.J. jury looked at all the evidence and didn't think he was guilty.

Seriously folks, prosecutors are FAR from paragons of virtue, quite the opposite

No kidding! Prosecutors are, after all, politicians. Worse than that, they are politicians who are also lawyers!

Think of that prosecutor in DeLay's district, the prosector in the Rush Limbaugh case, Elliot Spitzer.

These guys are ambitious, power hungry pols with a license to ruin lives.

Nah, the DA would be the 3rd to the lowest. The 2nd lowest is Ms. ADA and the lowest in class rank is the prosecutor.

That said, if all twelve jurors concluded that he wasn't guilty....

In a non capitial case, does a not guilty verdict have to be unanimous?

I can say what I think, but apparently the Jackson Faction needs to call in the mods to shut me up.

I see that. Sigh! You haven't said anything I disagreed with.

and in general, if someone has a record of ripping off people in order to make a living, I'm not gonna trust anything they have to say.

Are you talking about the Jackson family of grifters?

MJ does not even start to unsnap the little boy's fly until he has read the mother's police and credit reports

Sad, but so true.

What about the other charges, such as providing alcohol to a minor?

Did the evidence of those things also depend entirely on the credibility of the same witnesses? I didn't follow it closely enough to know.

I'd think though, that if you are going to find the kid unbelievable about any of it, you might find him unbelievable on all of it. Just a guess.

He cannot be brought up on charges for the crimes (to the specific victims) that he was just "cleared" of.

He CAN be charged for other individual illegal sexual molestation crimes.

IMHO, he will be charged for other similar crimes with different victims by others who will come forward.

There have to be others out there.

But, that is just my personal prediction. This will not be the last MJ trial.

Sad MJ was found not guilty. I think he is guilty, but the Prosecutions witness was bad. What a shame.

How is it that on the East Coast, they can put Martha Stewart in jail and MJ walks free ? Is it a gender bias ?

I found him guilty because he is a 46 yr old man sleeping with children not his and that is child abuse because it crosses boundaries! You can argue about all the technicalities you want, but that is child abuse.
