"Silly man"

This is the best response I've seen. Hope you don't mind if I borrow it.

However, if you can watch the entire presser live, not just sound bytes from the LSM later, his point is never lost.

Good point but then the media only show the bits that puts them in the best light unless it is against one of their own that they do no like or is pro right wing.

What the President says - every day - and what the media reports are not the same thing. Unless it can be spun as negative, the media have placed a virtual blackout on the words of President Bush -- starting with calling him Mister Bush, instead of President Bush.

Do you check on the Day in the Life thread on FR?

This is from 6/11/05: --
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1421032/posts

PRESIDENTIAL SCHEDULE: Although no schedule update was provided in the White House press briefing yesterday, the President, himself, talked about his schedule in his radio address today.

On Tuesday, I will discuss Social Security reform with young people in Pennsylvania.

On Wednesday, I will address the Energy Efficiency Forum here in Washington, and renew my call for Congress to act on the energy plan I proposed four years ago. Today's high energy prices are like a tax that drags on our economy. We must ensure that American families and small businesses have access to a reliable supply of affordable energy. My energy strategy will lessen our dependence on foreign oil by encouraging conservation, promoting domestic production in environmentally friendly ways, and funding promising new sources of energy such as hydrogen, ethanol, and biodiesel. It will also modernize our aging electricity grid. The House has passed a good energy bill; now the American people expect the Senate to act. For the sake of our economic and national security, Congress needs to get a good energy bill to my desk by August.

On Thursday and Friday, I will discuss a key element of ensuring health care security for our nation's seniors.

GWB communicates with people IMHO ...

Thanks for your supports of our President snugs. Any plans to move to US?

IMHO, the only ones that complain about the way PRESIDENT Bush speaks are the high and mighty, holier than thou types, the likes of sKerry. That thing can carry on for an hour and not say one dam* thing of any consequence. OTH, "W" talks for 5 minutes and speaks volumes.

You are a newbie, and me thinks you joined FR to do the "BushBash". If there is one thing President Bush is not, and that is weak.

Go back to DU.

Thanks for the plug for the "dose" it is certainly the place to see what the President is doing each day. Come over and join us any time you want but warning anti Bush remarks will get you zotted this is a resume of the President's day and not open season for criticism hence the term enjoy your time on Sanity Island meaning it is a escape from the arguments and snipping of the day.

BTW I post the thread on Monday and Thursday.

These Sunday talk shows have become the press telling us what they think of themselves. They have no reflection of what America thinks as the elections have repeatedly shown.

Chris and Rita Cosby would be better fits covering Hollywood and movie reviews imo.

That thing can carry on for an hour and not say one dam* thing of any consequence. OTH, "W" talks for 5 minutes and speaks volumes.

He says the same thing everyday. He never changes his tune. He looks them in the eye and says what they're not used to hearing.

Like "That's my job as president, to provide leadership. Social security is a problem. I could coast it out but then I wouldn't be doing my job."

Or "The greatest protection for this country is to promote democracy across the planet. I've said it before; I'll say it again."

Of course I paraphrase.

When I hear Bush speak I wonder what it is about what he is saying that so bothers people.

He hasn't changed his tune. He plainly states his agenda.

Would they rather the president lie? Or change stories with the political wind?
