UN out of US too -- send it to Harare.
Terrible idea! If UN gains control of the NET, it will become a mouthpiece for the likes of corrupt individuals. The net presently is the truest form of free speech and ideas. If UN gains control, worldwide martial law will have been declared.
'nuff said...
How likely is this?
My first reaction is, not very likely as long as Bush is president. But if hillary gets in in 2008, she would just love it.
I don't see the problem. The UN is working for the common good of humanity, and always does the right thing.
I mean, if you can't trust the UN, who can you trust?
Look at the UN's record. Can you find one instance where the UN could not be trusted to be a force for truth, justice, fairness and honor?
Look on the bright side.
When its time to kill them, they'll be conveniently located in downtown New York.
oh yes. She will gladly sign it away to Bill Clinton controlled UN.
Here's my question: could we create another internet? What if a new root was created?
Technically, it's no problem. Logistically, though, what could happen with it? If the UN starts imposing it's rule on the internet, will corporations support it?
Oh yes. She will gladly sign it away once Bill becomes the Secretary of UN.
Thats the issue. If the UN takes over, the effect on the economy would be immeasurable.
There is an Internet 2 being created. I don't know the details but I have heard about it.
BTRL
i think you are right on....
Internet 2 would be much more controlled by our government - which may be precisely the reason this 'battle' is occurring now.
This is what I see:
Hilliary is President (puck)
Billie is President of the UN
Now you figure out what is going to happen to the Internet.....
Yep you got it!!!
Dear UN:
Haven't you guys got some suffering Africans someplace to be concerned with?
LRS
"...suffering Africans...?
Oh yes, this time it's the UN's usual fine performance...in Zimbabwe.
