DENVER -- On the eve of his graduation, the top cadet at the Air Force Academy sent out a religious-themed e-mail to thousands of fellow cadets, even as the school is grappling with complaints that some evangelical Christians are harassing others at the school.
The Associated Press obtained a copy of the e-mail sent Tuesday by Wing Commander Nicholas Jurewicz to the freshmen, sophomore and junior classes, which is about 3,000 cadets. "Wing commander" is the title held by the top senior at the school in military ranking.
Jurewicz lists his favorite quotations in the message, including several about Jesus. One quotation, "Bear one another's burdens, and so you will fulfill the law of Christ," is a biblical verse.
The academy has been under investigation because of complaints that evangelical Christians have harassed cadets who do not share their faith, in violation of the constitutional separation of church and state.
Cadets have been required to attend religious tolerance seminars, during which they have been reminded that Air Force policy bans the use of official e-mails for personal messages.
"We will look into it and if he violated any Air Force or academy policy we will take appropriate action after we've reviewed it," academy spokesman Johnny Whitaker said.

It wasn't duped but deliberately and happily trying to create a problem where there is none. After all the great success of the US military is a direct threat to the RATmedia's chief enemy, Americans who believe in God. Thus, the military must be weakened at every opportunity: Abu Grab, Gitmo, creating brutality stories, highlighting recruiting woes, publicizing deaths etc.

If you got shi**y ratings, son, it isn't because of your religion (or lack thereof). I can spot a whiner who can't take responsibility for his actions and performance a mile away.

Reminds me of an incident that happened in my command last year. An individual decided he was going to email another individual a particularly vile pornographic mpeg. And when I mean vile, I mean so far out of the mainstream that I cannot even describe this particular mpeg on this forum!
Anyways, he wasn't too up to speed on how to send emails so another individual showed him in a fashion where THE ENTIRE COMMAND was CC'd this lovely little gem of rather "unorthodox" lovemaking. OOPS! Needless to say, this individual stood tall before The Man and had his internet privileges revoked for a while.
Now THAT I believe.

Fine, then explain why I could not go to Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services at Yongsan Garrison in 1999.
Explain why my supervisor stated that he did not feel it appropriate to authorize this, and when further questioned, felt it completely appropriate to authorize any of his airmen to go to Christmas or Easter services with all other variables constant (mission requirements, manning, etc, etc, etc).
(If mission requirements require one to work over the holidays, that's a different story.)
Also, can you explain why, in 2004, official orders had to be generated to authorize Jewish personnel permission to attend High Holy Day services in South Korea?
If there isn't a problem, how DO you explain it?
PS: If you are quite friendly with your supervisor, it is VERY easy to assign someone less than perfect scores on an EPR. (a la majority 4's instead of 5's) Not to mention writing the EPR using the less favorable bullets instead of the most favorable (both are good, just one is better than the one - ie - ignoring the 'saved $100,000 in unit funds' and using instead the 'rated the 2nd best in customer satisfaction')
That is different than giving a poor rating, however, as that is nigh impossible even with proper documentation.
But you can easily keep someone from earning an AFAM or reduce an ACOM to an AFAM. (or JSAM/JCOM).
