I would have said so too but I have suspected something for a long time with some other posts. No one says that even in jest with sarcasm.

McCain lying and being an idiot -- I can second that! Works perfectly for me! :)

Do you know who they were? I was at my daughter's middle school graduation and missed the actual vote.

I don't know that I've ever given money to one of the Party organs. I don't think the RNC as exists to advance conservative values in government. Rather it exists to perpetuate Republican power through fundraising. There is a real difference there, as we are seeing this week.

The RNC exists to elect Republicans. I do not understand why some people think it ought to have some other purpose.

By all means, let's work for a consistently conservative GOP. That means fighting it out in the primaries. But there's no point blaming the RNC for the RINOs thrown up by various states. The RNC doesn't control that.

We are not a Leninist party. The RNC has 165 members: the national committeeman, national committeewoman, and state chairman from each of the 50 states plus the territories and DC. These people are all elected by their state parties. Ya gotta deal with them that gets the votes.

I know -- cannot even feature a Conservative saying they would vote for Hillary and being sarcastic. No one I know would ever be that mad. We know there are Hillary supporters on here because they vote for her in the polls and are members.

I guess they expect him to have a magic wand and have control of RAT Senators who have no principles and no ethics.

It doesn't work that way. These people are not grounded in reality, and they refuse to see who the real bad guys are.............Bill Frist is NOT one of them.

Senators Ben Nelson (D-NE), Mark Pryor (D-AR) and Mary Landrieu (D-LA) voted with the Republicans.

Senators Arlen Specter (R-PA) and Daniel Inouye (D-HI) were absent.

Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-TN) voted against only so he could have the procedural right to force the Senate into another vote.

Question: if the Republicans were to be conservative-only, the Democrats would likely counter to be liberal-only and that creates a boundary line. What would happen to the moderates, do they form a 3rd party? (Not saying I support them, but that is an interesting thought)

Ya know, I'm really disgusted with this whole charade. We elected these people to get things done.

McCalin is probably both a liar AND an idiot. Also a publicity hound.

Supreme Court ruled for the State of Oklahoma recently in a case brought by 3rd party aka Democrats that we had to have an open primary where you could do crossover voting. Supreme Court said Oklahoma had every right to continue its closed primary system. Since we are an early primary state that is outstanding news for Republicans but bad news for McCain. He doesn't stand a prayer with Oklahoma Republicans!

Do you ever feel like you are talking to the wind sometimes? :)

Often (and sometimes, it feels more like a 100-mph straight-line burst; luckily, I've missed the tornadoes so far).

I wonder if the Rats have walked themselves into a rat trap. I am hoping that the trap is about to snap little rat necks on the Senate floor with a little NUKKIE!

The Dems simply cannot be trusted.

Neither can the Pubs.

How many times have we gone through this routine? Charlie Brown Frist runs up to the football, and then Lucie Demorat pulls it away while Charlie Brown Frist goes flying head over heels and lands on his butt.

I wish they would find a new joke to pull on Charlie, this one aint funny anymore.

Give them the documents they requested, then let the committee move ahead.

They're asking for classified documents, the contents of which could jeopardize American lives. Trusting them to keep the secrets would be folly indeed.
These are ruthless people, and they don't care about our safety, only their power.

He's counting on being nominated by 'Rats crossing over to vote in the GOP primary.

But he's lost the Republican base. He loses either way. He's toast. I'd never vote for him for anything. He's nailed the American majority too many times.
I don't know anyone - really - who would vote for a person who did everything he could to hurt them.

Did you hear Lindsey Graham call himself a conservative
republican on the senate floor today?
