One would think you knew about jets, what with all the neat pictures. LOL!! Thanks, JJ.
Great pictures, EMB, of the Iraqi military at work. Success breeds success. It will be a great day when they are able to protect their own. And our military can take pride in the fact that they taught the Iraqis.
Thanks, Tonkin, for the words from our Sponsors of Free Speech.
WOW, Just.....beautiful prayer for Memorial Day. Thank you.
Welcome to the Canteen, Pomian--and thank you GMOPBCF(whew) for introducing Pomian to us! This is the best place to be if you love and respect America and our brave military. Judging by the wonderful things you said, I believe you do! Thank you for your insight. You can only be a positive influence on others in your country, and to help them understand us better. Come back here any time! The Canteen is always open!
Hope you are feeling better by now, Taz.

Sorry, Just...I finally remembered who else had a Firefighter.

Magic mirror, tell me today: Do I look like Bozo or just bad Mary Kay? Girls apply face paint on "clown day," the last day of classes at Community Nursery School in Cambridge, Ohio.
That's kinda what it looks like outside right now...
We have three or four distinct thunderheads in the area, all getting ready to open up and inundate the desert.
The cacti are darned near dancin', it's been so dry!
On the down side, tonight is graduation at the local high school, and it's looking like they're going to get drenched. Oh well, we've been telling the kids for 18 years now that life isn't fair...!
Graduated pupils: Happy Time Preschool grads Olivia Coram (left), Payton Cook and Catie stare from behind the pews at Grace Lutheran Church in Muscatine, Iowa.
Cozy one-bedroom: Real estate agent Gordon Blausten shows off a London flat that may be the smallest apartment in the world. Its 62 square feet squeezes in a kitchenette, bath and wardrobe. The bed is on a raised platform accessed by a ladder. The rent? Only $247 a week.
Good afternoon, HiJinx! It is cloudy and drizzly here right now, but really early this morning and until about 10am we had actual rain! It was wonderful and my grass is very thankful. Right now it is 66*--after having 104 yesterday. What a welcome change! Hope you get the rain you need and not enough to flood! The kids won't melt! LOL!
Deer spotting: A fawn rests in the tall grass of an abandoned home's yard in Fairmont, Minn.

That's why I'm chuckling. About 80% of the rains we get are gully washers. We live with it!
I tell you what, a 40 degree change in temps is a good way to catch cold. Don't ask me why, I've never been able to figure out the whys and wherefores of that old wive's tale...it just really seems to be true, though.
Man....it just about has to be! LOL!!
