FReeper Canteen~Canteen Backyard Cookout~May 26, 2005
May 25, 2005 | bentfeather/Canteen Crew

For the freedom you enjoyed yesterday...
Thank the Veterans who served in The United States Armed Forces.

Canteen Backyard Cookout!!

Okay, who's cooking??

Tomkow? Old Sarge? Tonkin? HiJinx? Auntie Fawnn? Ma??????

Long weekends sometimes are family backyard cookouts.
While this weekend is Memorial Weekend, which we in the Canteen take seriously, a little kickoff fun is planned.
We thank our Troops for their service to our nation.

We have some beer!

Some eats!

Some fishing....

Some lounging around...

You a Redneck??
You might be a Redneck if your pickup looks like this!
Some more beer!

Somemore lounging around...

Tomkow has to show off at every Canteen party!
Soooo, what's your idea of a Backyard Cook Out?

Hey FRiends...please forgive me for jumping in here, but it's for good reason. I would love to introduce you to a new FReeper named Pomian. Pomian is from Poland, and Pomian wrote the following yesterday, and I thought it would warm your hearts over here at the Canteen...
Thanks y'all!

"I think the American people is the best in the world and that's why I'm here and proud of it. The best, because no other nation on the face of the planet right now is able to shed so much blood to defend Freedom and Dignity. We're much safer in Europe, just because of no less than US Army. It's sad, but unfortunately true since Europe doesn't want to do anything to face and fight evil."

Disaster drill: Firefighters advance on a flaming propane tank fire from behind a wall of water created by their gushing hoses during training in Moss Point, Miss.

Been there, done that.

Double-dare ya: Would you jump off a bridge if your friends told you to? Dana Pearson did and found himself stranded on an island in the middle of the roiling Animas River near Durango, Colo. Durango Fire and Rescue used ropes and pulleys to reel him safely ashore.

Thunderclap loomin': Dark clouds gather over Pittsburg, Kan., on the leading edge of a thunderstorm that swept through the area.
