What makes you think Bolton will be confirmed? Hell, we have a RINO actively lobbying against him!Who cares about a RINO or two? It only takes 50 votes (with Cheney as the tiebreaker). At least one senior Dem staffer (anonymous, of course) is on record as saying no way do the Dems want to have Bolton be the one to mess up this deal, and I completely agree. If this deal gets shelved by the Hypocrats, it's IMHO going to be over a Supreme Court nominee or very high profile conservative judge, not some UN ambassador. Bill Frist knows this, which is why Bolton is up immediately after the first judge (Owens) shows the entire world how beautifully our Senate can work together. [cough]

Leaky is up. "Democrats are prepared to move on." Strange choice of words as it reminds me of moveon.org

We are a team and we are winning because with a few notable exceptions we stick together! Let's go back to the debates! I was suicidal after the first one! But realized that I over re-acted! You are coming dangerously close to breaking the 11th commandment! You need to go back and re-read, Partner, before posting.

It disgusted me to hear Reid talk like he did on the Senate floor yesterday morning; especially the comment about the Constitutional (or "nucular") option being GONE...gone for good, I thought he said (or something like that). I thought...what an arrogant, ArroganT, ARROGANT little creep-of-a-man this guy is.

With that, the window is now closed on the over/under on the "yea" votes for Owen's nomination. I'll have the betting slips up shortly.

Leahy and the "pocket filibuster." Well, lessee if Specter gives you one on Saad, or if Saad comes to the floor. What say YOU, Patrick?

Zuben, in case you weren't around for the beginning of the thread (big up Ken5050), we are counting the number of times move on is used. I wonder how much the Dems get for each use of it from MoveOn?

Bolton is not part of the "agreement". I don't think the Cowardly 7 will cry foul if the RATs use the filibuster on him. In the meantime, Voinivitch is undermining the leadership by sending out memos encouraging senators to vote against confimation.
