In Iran, rape victims don't even have the "choice" of marrying the perpetrators. Raped women are stuck into holes in the ground, with only their heads exposed. Then, they are stoned to death.......for "adultery!"

This is no surprise coming from a backwards society that promotes female genital mutilation.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing as I read the story. If she hadn't have married the guy then her family would have killed her.
reminds me of the Kuwaiti guy that went to India and married a very pretty girl, with the family's consent. He went back to Kuwait after thirty days, but before he left he sold her to a brothel. The family had a hell of a time getting her out.

The problem isn't "education".
The problem is ISLAM and their evil koran that advocates this crap.

under iranian law, a woman who is raped must be able to prove she struggled sufficiently.
a girl was given 100 lashes for claiming rape but being unable to prove it sufficiently. this is horrific enough. stonings do occur, but are reasonably rare and only for married adulterers - unmarried people involved in adultery get lashes. the case of a rape victim being stoned to death would be quite rare, but yes it does happen. the law and judges make it hard for a woman to prove rape, and if it isnt rape, then it must be...
its noting that males may also be stoned, and while this is much less common than females, it has occurred. the law states that a victim who escapes is free, but many do escape and are dragged back so the job may be finished. one woman was shot after escaping. they cant even seem to follow their own barbaric laws - the mob rules.
the dichotomy between the educated western freindly people in iran and the poor religious extremists is great in iran. for example, the difference between urbane tehranis and those from the holy city of qom is like people from a different country. those who post here blustering about nuking tehran miss the point entirely - nuke tehran and some of the larger cities and you are removing the america freindly majority. its the extremist minority that are in control that are our enemy. they are the ones controlling the judiciary and they are the ones stoning people to death.
when rape is proven (not that easy to do), the rapists are hung in iran, and yes it does happen. also, not long ago a woman accused of murder was using a rape defence. she was unsiccessful and is to be hung.

Islime is a cancer on humanity. "Honor killings"? Sounds to me like the males of islime have neither honor nor manhood, so to feel like men they have to abuse women. Bunch of worthless POS barbarians.....

This is a reflection of the Religion of peace. To think that ANYONE, no matter how far Left they may be, takes these animals for anything more than the barbarians they are, is utterly amazing. They are responsible for just about all wars going on currently around the world, openly advocate violence against innocent people, including many of their clerics from their mosques, are set on world domination, are openly hostile to Western culture and religion, and have NEVER contributed a thing toward the betterment of even their own society. They invent nothing, produce nothing, and only happen to have the good fortune of large oil reserves, with which they blackmail the rest of the world.
They must be defeated, once and for all, using ANY means necessary. If they are allowed to continue to embark on worldwide violence, they will go stronger and more dangerous. And anything they say or promise must be taken with a grain of sand from the desert that surrounds them.
Nothing they say or promise or agree to can be believed, and we must deal with them as we deal with a real clear and present enemy of our society, because that is what they represent to all of us.

They sure are good at assigning blame in that part of the world. Has anyone in that region EVER accepted responsibility for ANYTHING?

We need to stop the political correctness B.S. that totally distorts reality. We need to treat these people the way they really are, deranged fanatical animals who hide behind a book that has no credibility in order to commit terror against anyone they see fit to do. You cannot treat uncivilized animals as equals and expect a rational response.
