EVANSTON -- Some Evanston students want to write letters to Rush Limbaugh. Others want to call him out for a debate.
The reaction to the conservative talk-show host comes after Limbaugh put down Evanston Township High School's multicultural curriculum during his nationally syndicated radio show.

Question...So when do these high school non readers listen to Rush? During school hours? I don't think so.
another question while I'm at it...How do they know who Rush is?
"They probably are indoctrinated into musklum 101 and the evils of the honkies conservative party."
No doubt!
Nothing like decay from within. Heck we don't need foreign terrorist! We have public school teachers fueling self hatred of self and country.
Who does? Let me guess....John McCain?
Yep!"He's dead, Jim!"
:)
Because not everyone has the necessary arsenal of facts and logic, and the needed knowledge of enemy tactics, at their disposal, but Rush does.
Sheeeeesh, I never said it was easy or trivial, you made one poor assumption.
I'd rather Rush debate the school teachers than the children. The kids would just be saying, "Um...like...I know the answer but could you give me a hint? No? That's bogus, dude! You can't fail me! I'll like sue!"
For example, last week Rush was talking about the filibuster and how the Democrats are in "lock-step" on this issue while some GOP Senators may break rank. He went on to say, that this in nothing new and he 'could not think of one Democrat' that has ever broken ranks with his party.
If he were to make such a statement in a debate against a high school or even elementary school student all the student would have to say is "Zell Miller" in 2004 or Phil Gramm 1983.
The Debate would be over and Rush would lose.
I emailed Ms. Cohen, who provided the free publicity for the Evanston HS flacks to denounce Rush, offering to give the Evanston students a history test (I'm a history teacher) to settle once and for all whether Rush was correct in what he said. No reply yet.
And if you're wondering which side ducks debates, try emailing a left-wing reporter like Ms. Cohen after she gives free pub to the lefties, asking for equal time for the conservative point of view. I can tell you from personal experience that the Left never believes in either debate or equal time.
As a newly graduated senior from High school, I would like to say that Rush Limbaugh is one of the few people in the media who has interests that paralell our nation's own interests.
I have been involved with debate for the last four years of my Highschool career, and based on my experience with elite High School debaters, Rush makes most professional politicians look like amateurs. I find it difficult to believe that these Highschoolers could hold their own against me- not to mention Mr. Limbaugh.
Inevitably, if there is a debate against some half-witted liberal highschooler, Rush will make sense whereas the highschooler will resort to ad hominem, straw men, and numerous other fallacies.
