I am not too sure about Rush's debating skills since he very rarely if ever appears in an environment that permits open debate.
HUH!? Do you even listen to the EIB? He debates these left wing, tin foil hat, radicals every day. They lay in wait for these morons to call. They get piped right thru so he can humiliate them on air.
I have no doubt Rush could wipe the floor with these amateurs. Hell even I could debate these pansies, and I have no training at all in the art of debate. Yeah, you read it right. The "art" of debate. It can be an art form in the hands of someone like Rush, and the passion he has for American Conservatism. Him and others like him are our only defense against the left wing news media. Even Fox News lays off some of these politicians a little more than they deserve.
I here a lot of people say he goes over the top sometimes with his ego, but hell, if I was as successful as he is, I'd probably be a little annoying myself. He's not nearly as bad as the flakes on Err Amerika.
I'd rather Rush debate the school teachers than the children. The kids would just be saying, "Um...like...I know the answer but could you give me a hint? No? That's bogus, dude! You can't fail me! I'll like sue!"
Rush does a great job of presenting the conservative perspective. However, when speaking on his show his views are very seldom questioned and thus he makes statements that would be easily refuted in a debate format.
For example, last week Rush was talking about the filibuster and how the Democrats are in "lock-step" on this issue while some GOP Senators may break rank. He went on to say, that this in nothing new and he 'could not think of one Democrat' that has ever broken ranks with his party.
If he were to make such a statement in a debate against a high school or even elementary school student all the student would have to say is "Zell Miller" in 2004 or Phil Gramm 1983.
The Debate would be over and Rush would lose.
