If they can stop the Judicial Filibuster then maybe Estrada will be nominated for a Supreme Court opening.

OF COURSE, Dingy Harry has to START off by objecting to what Frist has done---he is already asking to do things his way--
wanting to bring up 3 other nominees INSTEAD of Owen.
Reid won't allow any committee meetings while debate is going.
Now, Kennedy is up WTH is going on here?

The under the table bit is what we don't know. How committed is anyone to how they say they will vote? Hell, if they asked me if I was going to vote for Hillary, I'd say yes just to know that I had "fixed" a poll and that they are not dependable.

I just want to warn everyone in advance not to expect a quick result today. They are going to allow a day or two of debate on Pricilla Owen before they call for the vote. It may be early next week before the filibuster rule is actually eliminated.
Don't get frustrated --
This is worth repeating. Every one keep this in mind. The whole meal must become ready at the proper time.

Tony Snow is pointing out that Reid's latest plea to delay Owen and put up the "non-controversial" judges first shows that Harry doesn't have the support that he's been saying he does.
Haa!

West Coast good morning to ya.
I see the Dems have a strategy this morning (cooked up with the media, no doubt) to try to get the safe judges through first, so that they can appear to be 'fair'. Frist aint goin for it, which is wise.
I have to admit for the Dems, it is a nice try, because either way, they look a little better, as they can argue that Judges could be going to work right now.
Frist is going to be saying 'NO' a lot today, before anything substantial occurs. I may just go back to bed.

The Dems want Griffith through so they can't be accused of filibustering nominees.
To: Howlin
I wish we knew who they were!My prediction:
Salazar (CO)
Lieberman (CT)
Conrad (ND) runs in 06
Nelson (NE)
Baucus (MT)
Dorgan (ND) and Johnson (SD) can't be too happy either.
Bayh (IN) might also have second thoughts.
