On Thursday, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Gen. Richard Myers told reporters that the only evidence of any Koran desecration unearthed so far was a log notation describing a Muslim prisoner tossing pages from his holy book into the toilet.
"A detainee was reported by a guard to be ripping pages out of a Koran and putting them in a toilet to stop it up as a protest," Gen. Myers said, in quotes picked up by the Washington Times. "But not where the U.S. did it." The top military man said that a review of interrogation logs offers no evidence "that there was ever the case of the toilet incident" as reported by Newsweek.

Let's hope they go out of business because of this. It would be just desserts for those arseholes. They have gone too far this time.

It was Bush's fault. Pure and simple. Something bad happened on the planet, stake answer: Bush's fault. All covered.

Another step in the demise of Legacy Media. Could these jackasses being any dumber or more spiteful? Isikoff is also the man who sat on the Monica story until Drudge's reporting forced him and Newsweak to move on it.

Sorry, only desecration of Christian symbols qualifies for NEA funding! Desecration of any religion beloved by hypocritical leftists is still prohibited.

Now they are waiting to see if the retraction is sufficient to call off the dogs. If not, there will be human sacrifices shortly.

Please include a sarcasm tag on post like that. It is no longer possible to know if such a statement is simply the most absurd thing you could think of or a serious straight-faced comment made by some liberal nutball. /sarcasm /sort of

Forgot to add:
Dumping a crucifix in a bucket of piss...art that should be funded by the government (you're intollerant if you don't agree).
Same for a picture of the Madonna splattered with dung.

Good one. I forgot that.
Ahhh yes...and I just went and actually looked at DU...and "today is the day journalism died."
What a bunch of drama queens!

I'm sure this has already been covered elsewhere, but I have to ask: How is it even possible to flush a book down a toilet? This story seemed bogus on its face. Did they put it through a wood-chipper first?

They MUST officially retract the story in person in the Moslem world..Just mentioning, in any Moslem country, they lied about flushing the Quran in a toilet will have them immediately beheaded!

You forgot the big one.
The crucifix submerged in urine.
I wonder what the reaction would have been
if the Christians of the world had gone on
an Afghan rampage. Probably, 1000's of dead Christians.

Yeah, when Blair came out in support of the claim that Iraq wasn't done "for oil" or something like that, the DUmmies all claimed that Bush must "have something" on Blair and be blackmailing him. Anything to justify their insanity.
I love your tagline by the way. Funny.
