HIBBS, Pa. (AP) A man angry about an argument chased down a motorcycle and rammed it with his pickup truck, killing the bike's two riders, state police said.

Edward A. Belch, 44, of McClellandtown, apparently got in an argument with the motorcycle's passengers Tuesday evening, authorities said. The two people then got on the motorcycle and left, and Belch followed them on state Route 21, passing other vehicles, until he hit the motorcycle, police said.

Terri Lynn Gresko, 44, and a 54-year-old man whom police didn't immediately identify died at the scene.

Belch was being held in the Fayette County jail Wednesday after being arraigned on two counts of criminal homicide Tuesday. It was not clear what the argument was or how Belch knew the other two people, state police said.

2 people die in Route 21 crash
By Steve Ostrosky , Herald-Standard

A firefighter stands by a wrecked motorcycle after an accident Tuesday night on Route 21 that killed two people. Investigators at the scene of the crash said the motorcycle was struck by the pick-up truck pictured above. Christine McCormick/HS
GERMAN TWP. - State police spent much of Tuesday night investigating a two-vehicle accident along Route 21 that left two people dead.
A man and woman were both riding on a motorcycle that was struck by a dark-colored pick-up truck near Old Route 21 around 7:15 p.m. Witnesses at the scene said the truck passed several vehicles traveling westbound before ending up behind the motorcycle.

Fayette County Deputy Coroner Elsie Dvorchak said the man was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:12 p.m. and the female was pronounced dead at 8:15 p.m. Dvorchak said the names of the deceased were being withheld pending notification of the victims' families.

State police were on scene throughout the evening piecing together the details of the accident, but no further information was available Tuesday night. The condition of the driver of the truck was also unknown as of presstime.

Along with state police, Footedale, McClellandtown and Edenborn fire crews responded to the scene with Fayette EMS.

A portion of Route 21 around the accident scene was closed in both directions for several hours as state police reconstruction experts conducted their work and troopers spoke with several witnesses.

So you think that all of us that ride know each other. That has to be the dumbest thing I've heard in some time.

It won't be hard to spot him on the road. He will be driving a Camaro with a dented hood, broken windshield and screaming like a girl.

I only have forty years (Nearly thirty with no car, only a bike)on two wheels. I imagine that I'm riding among a herd of enraged blind rhinos. I'm never surprised when one of them decides to be in my lane or stop suddenly and turn across my path and i've grown eyes in the back of my head.

I guess motorcycles don't have drivers...

No, they are like SUV's. They only have occupants.

---- you and the horse you rode in on. Two people died violent deaths at the hands of a seriously disturbed man, and instead of any shock or even sympathy, you're whining that bicyclists aren't getting enough love? Screw that.

btw,

As a biker, I have to ask. Is there in particular reason you're being a complete jerk and going out of your way to offend?

Probably cheaper than you think. I have a sticker on the back of my helmet that says: "Fifteen Grand and Fifteen Miles Don't Make You a Biker."

Me, I wouldn't drive one. Too many people get killed or busted up bad on those. A years or two ago I was driving up the Northway and saw a dumped bike with the driver under a sheet. The drivers buddy was sitting on the guardrail just stunned, a Sunday drive turned to death and families' lives changed forever.

Yep it happens. What eventually brought my wife around to loving motorcycles, was of all things, the year she spent working a trauma unit. Eventually, she came to the conclusion that when your number is up, your number is up. She saw too many people in supposedly safe SUV's go out the back door. Life's too short to live afraid.

Lol!!!! I know that in a few short posts on FR he's already pissed me off the point where I'd pay for 10 minutes of quality time with him.

My girlfriend is a doctor and rides. I am a member of a sportbike site and she was also a member. Saw I lived 70 miles and invited me to ride with her group. Rode up there the next sunday and met her. Turned on the old Speed_Addiction charm and she was pretty much mine after that.
