Unannounced drill...? Sure, hold it on the 11th so people will panic even more ("Oh no, isn't today...?") Who knows.

Rush back on here once the "All Clear" was declared. He'll be pre-empted by the Red Sox game at 1pm, though on the only two radio stations that carry Rush in this area - WTIC and WHYN. Oh well.

They'll circle. I don't think F-16s fly much under 150 knots even with the flaps out. They'll probably time their circles so one plane of the pair can always quickly get a weapons solution on the target...just in case.
That's a decision I'm glad I'll never have to make.

Turned away, then turned back to restricted airspace. Idiot.
One mistake is fine, two isn't. Intercepted transmission: "Last chance, @$$h---. Touch me there again and I'll scream."
To: righttackle44
But what about Hillary running?
The friction from her thighs rubbing together would set off the IR sensors on the F-16.

Pilot deserves to be reamed.
Is it OK is we at least figure out what happened before we start reaming people? The first guy I want to see is the bozo open live fire over a crowded city (On a Cessna!)

re: I bet if they blow one of these idiots out of the skies one of these times, the rest of the idiots will get the message)))
Affluence in the US has made it possible for many new pilot's licenses. Pilots support their hobby, many times, by giving lessons and making still more pilots.oooo. It was always my dream as a kid to ascend and soar over the heads of everybody else!
There's a lot of stupid people buzzing around over your head these days. I have known a lot of pilots and their egos can be tremendous and stupendous. (I'll be getting the de rigeur "up yours" shortly from at least one).
While your suggestion has a certain appeal, it would make an awful mess and land a lot of junk on innocent heads.

Obviously, this was President Bush's fault!

Well - it will be reacted to. We may make mistakes in shooting them down also. If a few were shot down I would bet there would be fewer making that mistake.
Wonder how much that little "mistake" cost us? Maybe a huge fine would be in order.

How does an F16 go slow enough to escort a single-engine? ARCADIA: "Nose up, gear down, flaps full. (just barely)"

Just a grammatical quibble: It's "Capitol," which refers to the actual physical buildings, not "Capital," which refers to DC in general. I thought "Capitol" is buildings "Capital" is money.
