I believe that GMT is 5 hours ahead of EDT.

GMT is 4 hours ahead of EDT. But BST (British Summer Time) is 5 hours ahead of EDT! :)

Tony and Cherie Blair accompany sons Euan, 21, and Nicky, 19, who are first time voters, to a polling station in Trimdon, in the prime minister's Sedgefield constituency.

Conservative leader Michael Howard pauses with his wife Sandra and daughter Larissa outside his local polling station in Lympney.

Liberal Democrat leader Charles Kennedy and his wife Sarah cast their vote in Caol, near Fort William.

One of the more unusual polling stations - York Art Gallery.

Barbara Parker puts the finishing touches to a polling station at the British School in Wotton-Under-Edge, Gloucestershire.

Chelsea pensioners from the Royal Hospital in London enter a polling booth to vote.

From paddypower.com

"Winners of Next Election
Selection Prices

Labour 1 - 66
Conservative 16 - 1
Liberal Democrat 100 - 1"

No suspense here

Blair will win by a "landslide" because even the libs in Britain are all bark and no bite.

Iraq won't be an issue in the next election unless something really bizzare occurs. Blair is winning this election despite Iraq. In fact, Labour is winning this election despite Blair.

Monty Python did a hilarious sketch about that with the "loon" party participating.

The Raving Monster Looney Party is actually on the ballot in many areas of Britain. It was started in 1963 -- long before Monty Pyton. They really do get some votes and they do dress up in silly costumes and stand alongside the other candidates as the votes are announced. It's hilarious.

Here's their official website.

Thanks for that insight. Now I really know what to watch for....how Labour does as a whole.

I heard a little bit about Gordon Brown being Blair's successor....do you know anything about him? More liberal or more conservative than Blair?

I heard Mrs. Thatcher left the country while the election is going on in order to avoid an embarrassing defeat for the conservatives...of course I hate to hear that, we love The Iron Lady.

Look at the difference between a conservative family and a liberal one. Which looks happier? A picture is worth a thousand words.

Conservative leader Michael Howard pauses with his wife Sandra and daughter Larissa outside his local polling station in Lympney.

Liberal Democrat leader Charles Kennedy and his wife Sarah cast their vote in Caol, near Fort William.

If I had the money to spare, I'd put a small bet on the Conservative party. Not because I think they will win, but because I think they have a better chance than that, so it would be worth the risk.

There could be enough Labor Party voters who are upset enough with Blair to vote Lib Dem or stay home and give the election to the Conservatives.

Andrew Sullivan had a link to campaign ads for the main three British parties. If I were basing it on just the ads, I'd think the Labor Party were expecting to lose.

We can only hope that Brown won't go wobbly on foreign policy. In his favor, Brown, like Blair, is one of the few public officials in Western Europe who is a churchgoing Christian.

I hope Jimmy Carter went over there to ensure they ran honest elections. I had no faith in our election system until Jimmy announced he would make sure ours was honest.
