From the looks on the faces of the people reporting, I do believe that Labour is in for a long night. They are beginning to talk about Tories doing rather well.

If there is, she's probably lost. :) Delta Quadrant?
Note to myself: Back to the UK election.

Anyone got the scoop on UK recount law?
To: Mo1
Watching this is awesome. The swingometer, the map on the floor, and the comments are making this really interesting and to see the Clinton effect is making me laugh.

Conservatives are actually DOWN -0.3% so far in popular vote; it is the LibDems and the ultra-right wing fringe parties UKIP and BNP (ugggggghhhh!!!) that made the gains.

I hope none of our Brit friends take offense to the fact that I find the names of these places both hilarious and utterly charming at once. :) I'd love to be the MP for Twickerham-on-Thames or EastSouthNorthWest Londonfordshire. :)

The battle is now joined, a three party fight.
To: PhiKapMom
I wonder if anyone else but us will make note of the fact that the Clinton streak continues? ;-D

I hope they don't put Carol Roberts in charge of those recounts.
How many freepers know that name?

Lack of a uniform national trend. A series of two party battles in different parts of the country. This is a weird election. Tories taking targeted marginal seats.
To: snugs
I think the rosettes are great! Finding all of this very interesting.
