I was listening to the talking head of Katie Couric's this morning, and she was interviewing Gwinnett County District Attorney Daniel Porter. I wasn't paying too close attention, but I heard her ask something about getting Miss Wilbanks some psychiatric help... and I heard is response as "You cannot help someone until you get them under the control of the courts."
Just out curiousity...is there ever going to be a topic that you don't see connected with Terri Schiavo?
Man, people jump all over this guy because of a second-hand report of only one part of one answer he gave to a dumb question from Katie Couric.
I didn't see the interview, but at least I'll stick around to see the whole story.
IOW's, declare her incompetent or crazy at least for the time being.

"She had to have had assistance. My question is from whom?" <
Not really. She bought the ticket a few days in advance.Cut her hair(might have changed clothes)and took a taxi to the bus station where no ID is required. She rode till her money ran out.
Yep.
Happens a lot.
Keeps 'em on their toes.
Instead of on our backs.
What crime did she committ in Ga.?
That's so depressing. It's ghastly having a brain the size of a planet, but only someone with a brain the size of a planet could hope to understand exactly how appalling it really is.
Agreed. I can't stand Katie Couric.
It's still too early in the day for me to think about the issue of women in general (I need more coffee!), but I agree this woman really did many people wrong.
The way I was raised, you don't pull a stunt like this because, among other reasons, you should be thankful this is not happening to your family for real!
BINGO! We have a winner!
She is an absolute victim of a court-system gone insane. Her life has been destroyed by a male-dominated government that systematically rapes women psychologically. She will be victimized yet again because the GROOM cannot understand his RESPONSIBILITY in all this. The problem starts and ends with him, and with men in general.
"This couple had been living together
for FIVE YEARS!"
I made mention of this a couple of days ago.
Wouldn't eloping be the approprite thing for this couple to do? Or have a preacher or county commissioner come out to the house to perform the ceremony?
Wouldn't it be a hoot if he already has? LOL.

Does this mean you created this false story or you were just perpetuating it?
It gives me a headache just trying to think down to your level.
If she doesn't pay for the services rendered in preparation for the wedding, then she should be charged with breach of contract, since she didn't intend to use the services which she contracted.

How about filing a false police report?
Thanks! Didn't know that. You hear all kinds of speculative things in situations like this.
oh my
