ORLANDO, Fla. -- Detectives on Wednesday released a photograph they hope will help them identify a girl seen in a series of sexually explicit pictures that were taken at a Walt Disney World hotel and other locations and have circulated over the Internet for the past three years.
The newly released photo is of another girl who investigators do not believe was sexually exploited.
But the backgrounds of the images of the two girls have enough similarities, including furniture and exercise equipment, that detectives believe they may have been in the same place at the same time, said Sgt. Matt Irwin, a sheriff's detective.
The second girl's image was included in a collage found on the Internet that included the sexually exploited girl, who detectives believe has been sexually abused almost daily for the past several years and has appeared in 200 explicit photos.
Orange County Sheriff Kevin Beary said the photo was being released "in hopes that if a citizen can identify her, it will greatly increase the chances of successfully identifying the perpetrator and recovering the victim."
Detectives do not know who the girls are or where they live, but they believe one of the images of the sexually exploited girl was taken at a Walt Disney World hotel several years ago, when she appeared to be about 9.
"Our hearts go out to the victim and her loved ones as we do everything we can to support law enforcement in its investigation," Disney spokeswoman Kim Prunty said in a statement.
The image made public Wednesday shows a grade-school-age girl with black bangs, a lime-colored halter top and cut-off blue jeans. She is seen holding a pink electronic game.
Authorities are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the girl, who was described as a material witness.
Child-porn investigators in Toronto discovered the pictures of the abused girl on the Internet and released some of them after digitally removing the victim in hopes of determining where the photos were taken. Clues from some of the photos suggest she may live in the northeastern United States or southeast Canada.

They still haven't released the picture of the victim they are looking for but this little girl (pictured) knows who she is.
I would suggest that if you have children or grand children about this age that you ask them if she looks familiar.
Who knows? That simple act could possibly bring an end to the horror the victim is suffering.

This earlier version looks VERY close. In the enlarged picture of the hand-held you can see the screen through the plastic...it's in the same spot. The pink doesn't look quite right, but that could just be the photograph colors.
Can't see the logo, though. Her's looks like it came from the Dollar Store.

I hope someone will recognize this poor child. Her knees appear to be bruised.
It looks like the first letter on the back of the device might be a Disney-style D.

I'll take a look for Disney toys. I checked out the Bratz line, just in case, but the one I found didn't match.
Looking at the picture on the right in 26, it looks like there may be a unicorn or horse underneath the logo. Or, my eyes could just be tired, don't know.
I'll check it out. I know it's not a LeapPad, theirs has a handle on top. FYI. I didn't notice the unicorn but I'll go see. PS thanks for you help.
This is an enlarged, B/W, enhanced pix of the toy that the girl in the photo is holding. This is about the limit of the resolution that I can achieve given the original JPEG.. I hope that the B/W logo is possibly more recognizable than the one in color..
