"Wouldn't it be fascinating to be running with the curious and joyful crowd down the streets towards the square? How exciting!"
-I love your comment. When I read it, my first reaction was to combine the running of the bulls in Pamploma (sp?), Spain with the election of the Pope. That way, instead of white smoke, they just open the bronze doors of St. Peter's and release a hundred or so long horns and watch the faithfull high tail it down the hill, across the Tiber and out through the alleys of Rome. Now that would be exciting!!

That is so sacriligious! ;)They want me to be Pope to shake things up a bit.
Here's my set of guidelines:
- Disco Ball in the middle of Saint Peters Cathedral.
- No pooftahs!
- Ladies Night at all churches, when single chicks get in free.
- No pooftahs!
- Petting Zoos will be considered Holy Sites.
- There is NOOOOOOOOOO... guidline 6.
- No pooftahs!

I know how you feel.
I wish my other daughter was here.
At least, they were told that if a new Pope is announced during school hours, they will have an assembly to watch the outcome.

Wouldn't it be fascinating to be running with the curious and joyful crowd down the streets towards the square? How exciting! It would! While I almost feel as if I'm there, but it would be wonderful to really be there in person.
I was supposed to go out shopping but I can't leave now. :)

When PJP II came to Chicago, I stood freezing in the winter, with my mother and daughter to watch him fly by at 45 rpm ;)

To: Bella_Bru
I'm happy for all the FR Catholics. I hope he is as wonderful as JPIII'll second that! Happy Habemos Papum day! :o)
To: B Knotts
You know, this is the first Pope that I have memory of being elected. I was born in '73, but I was too little to remember JPII. I'm a Jew and I'm excited and happy. :-)
