It's an old story - you can't beat somebody with nobody. That is exactly how the Democrats have stayed in control of Chicago for about a century.

NY State is a special case. Upstate is nowhere nearly as conservative as, say, Montana, but it is definitely overbalanced by the power of New York City.

If you are not known in NYC, your chances in the state as a whole are between zip and none on a statewide race. Whom do the people in the city know better than anyone?

Rudy Giuliani, of course. It was a problem with health at the time that took Rudy out of the race in 2000, but with the added stature of standing up to the events of September 11, 2001, Rudy has an entry on his resume that Herself cannot possibly match.

Will Rudy do it?

It is, of course, gospel that Hillary Clinton is a political genius

Relatively speaking, Hillary is a political genius because she will listen to Bill. But of course this is in comparison to Al Gore and John Kerry, two complete bufoons who came within a few votes of being President. If either Kerry or Gore had moderated their social positions, they would have won. If you don't believe Hillary has a good chance, you haven't been paying attention.

The Kool-Aid drinkers could possibly muster 45% of the vote for the beast at best.

Game, set, match.

Good read. Thanks.

This should get the Freeper nervous Nellies decending upon this thread like it was a Walmart article.

Popcorn time! ;)

I am already sick to death hearing about this idiot. I cannot abide having anything or anyone so intensely touted to me and this is way over the limit of my tolerance.

For The Smartest Woman In The World, she sure can't think on her feet.

Without the MSM mythmaking and propping her up, Hillary is little more than your average city councilwoman.

She doesn't need to be a good candidate. She needs a corrupt media and a voter fraud scheme.

She's got everything she needs.

Well, you know, the woman is, you know, a dreadful public speaker. And her voice is irritating. And her 'likeability quotient' is low. Bubba', at least, is likeable on some level. I have always thought that she was overestimated but then, my sounding post is as a member of the VRWC so what do I know.

Myth 1). Hillary Clinton is a political genius
Myth 2). intelligent, driven wife…she is an enabler
Myth 3). win the New York Senate seat – with the help of a Jewish community who thought she would help them and the released group of terrorists, her win was based on special interests groups and party hacks.
Myth 4). Hillary has become a moderate…just laughable.
Myth 5.) Hillary supports the military – supports Iraq – supports the United States Constitution – supports the Minutemen on our borders – supports Tom Tancredo and his views……………..FACT: Hillary supports efforts to control our borders ONLY because it makes her “seem” interested

Another example of poor calculation is her decision to moderate herself on abortion. Perhaps Hillary thought that this would be a grand "Nixon goes to China" moment. The misjudgment in that calculation is that Nixon was already president
Hillary has always acted like she is the president.

The Clintons are politically astute, that is a fact however, they are also anti-republic and anti-American and that is a FACT. Hillary will not continue the War on Terrorism nor will she think America First or America at all. Her record is one of “we’ll fix that” then follow up her promises and nothing is ever done. It is all rhetoric propped up by the NYT and other liberal/socialist publications, there is NO substance in that pant suit.

This is an excellent analysis of Rodham's style, but not her strategy. If she can count on the Blue States plus turning one or two Red States--especially if there is a socially conservative third party candidate--she's (ack!) the next president. Also, the career of Richard Nixon would seem to be the exception to Cost's thesis.

"The only hope that humble conservatives have to keep her from being the first female president is some tawdry book by Ed Klein."

WRONG.Hitlery has skewed her own chances at being prez simply by being herself. When she runs her (pitiful attempt to be elected)campaign in 2008,she will get the spanking she so desperately deserves-and it's been a long time coming. All of her skeletons will come dancing out of the closets she's tried to keep nailed shut for so many years;
all of those who survived Arkancide are lying in wait for their chance to pounce.....salivating at the prospect of getting even with her.You cannot treat people the way Bill & Hill have for so long and continue to get away unscathed.
Her comeuppance-her Waterloo,as it will be-is on the horizon.Kerry's outing as a phony will pale in comparison when Hill steps up to get hers.I for one can hardly wait.

Methinks it would take vote fraud on a massive scale to get Hillary! into the office.

I'm curious, what will you do if she is your President? Will you jump off a bridge?
