Uh, did you read that report? It says over and over there were no signs of abnormality and the case was pretty much closed as soon as the doctors reported back to the cops. The only reason the word "HOMICIDE" even appears on that report is because they're the ones that always show up when a young, outwardly-healthy-appearing person turns up dead. They're not there because they think a murder took place; it's just SOP.

Could you provide a source for that? At that point in time, that would of been very illegal. I know Mike tried to let her die of an UTI in 1993 against doctors orders, but I never heard anything about this. Doesn't make any sense, does it? Perhaps, you are mistaken.

So are you saying that the judiciary is not "part of the government"? It was the judiciary which caused the death, it was the police who arrested folks for trying to give her water. You are fooling yourself if you do not think the government was involved. It was the STATE that had her killed.

I feel sorry for Terry Schiavo, and her parents, but I get upset that the stupid "Christians" should have been using their influence, and anger to save millions of other helpless Christians being slaughtered by the Muslims, instead of wasting good ink on one individual who has the misfortune of practically no quality of life.

Thank you for this reply. I had to drop off for awhile, that's why it has taken some time for me to respond. So far, of all the things you have written, this is one of the most honest.

We still have some differences of opinion, partly because I didn't write a treatise to clarify my position that leaves you with some misimpressions of me and partly because we're just going to disagree about some things (it would ne boring if we all agreed on everything, wouldn't it?).

I appreciate the anger you are experiencing, but you shouldn't blame all Christians for the plight of Christians in the Sudan. That would be like saying that all lawyers are like Felos or all judges are like Greer. They aren't, and neither are Christians - regardless of what they say about themselves. I suspect that, like most FReepers, most of us don't know what we can do or how we can help.

If you want us to try to do something, making accusations and baseless charges isn't the way to get us on your side, ok? Try stating your case calmly and posting some articles that support your point. Then, maybe we can get busy working to end the slaughter in the Sudan.

Ok, hedre's what I will am,end my comments to: Dr. Campbell stated that the bone scan indicated a number of "abnormalities". He continued on in his testimony, citing specifics of fractured (broken) ankles, abnormalities on both kneecaps, broken right femur, abnormalities in the area of the ribs, abnormalities affecting the pelvis, broken back in the L1 region and a skull fracture.

I agree that bulimia can weaken bones, however, the scan was made 13 months after collapse. It must be assumed that during that time, Terri was being fed a nutritionally complete diet by the medical staff attending her, so the effects of any prior bulimia would have been mitigated.

I have not claimed that MS broke those bones, I have only said that there is a wealth of reasons for suspicion.

It was potentially legal for Michael to stop feeding Terri in 1993. The Florida Supreme Court's Browning ruling of 1990 endorses the practice of death by dehydration for incapacitated (unable to communicate) people who are on a feeding tube. It was likely common practice, when family and doctors were in agreement.

Whole lotta starvation and dehydration going on in this country. The vital statitstics (Death Certs) don't facilitate getting a handle on the number of cases per year.

By 1994, Michael's attitude and perspective about Theresa's condition changed. During the previous four years, he had insistently held to the premise that Theresa could recover and the evidence is incontrovertible that he gave his heart and soul to her treatment and care. This was in the face of consistent medical reports indicating that there was little or no likelihood for her improvement.

In early 1994 Theresa contracted a urinary tract infection and Michael, in consultation with Theresa's treating physician, elected not to treat the infection and simultaneously imposed a "do not resuscitate" order should Theresa experience cardiac arrest. When the nursing facility initiated an intervention to challenge this decision, Michael cancelled the orders. Following the incident involving the infection, Theresa was transferred to another skilled nursing facility.

Michael's decision not to treat was based upon discussions and consultation with Theresa's doctor, and was predicated on his reasoned belief that there was no longer any hope for Theresa's recovery. It had taken Michael more than three years to accommodate this reality and he was beginning to accept the idea of allowing Theresa to die naturally rather than remain in the non-cognitive, vegetative state. It took Michael a long time to consider the prospect of getting on with his life – something he was actively encouraged to do by the Schindlers, long before enmity tore them apart. He was even encouraged by the Schindlers to date, and introduced his in-law family to women he was dating. But this was just prior to the malpractice case ending.

It seems the nursing home was in conflict with his wishes in 1993 but not the attending doctor on the case.

You would think there would of been an investigation based on Dr. Walkers testimony. Especially when that same person of interest was conducting an ongoing attempt to kill the same person with the broken bones. Anything wrong with that logic?

That is not what Michael's testimony of the Dep. of Michael Schiavo --Nov. 19, 1993 said.

I have already looked into it for the past three weeks and made my decision. Based on the Constitution, and not conspiracy theories from Pinellas County. Oh wait, here's part of the deposition from 1993 right here...

Q. Prior to your making – you know, the decision we’re talking about, the decision that you made to treat your wife’s bladder infection – had any physician ever suggested to you that if she has an infection in the future that you don’t treat it or that you allow her to die?

SCHIAVO: Well, I went and talked to Dr. Mulroy about it.

Q. And what was Dr. Mulroy’s advice to you, if any?

SCHIAVO: Not to treat the infection.
