Strange Accusations Get Princeton Student Barred
Record, The; Bergen County, N.J.
04/07/2005
PRINCETON - A Princeton University graduate student has been barred from campus after he was accused of surreptitiously cutting locks of hair from women on campus and pouring bodily fluids into women's drinks.
Officials say the student, Michael J. Lohman, 28, apparently targeted Asian women in a spree that may have begun in 2002.
Lohman was arrested March 30.
A woman reported last month that a man cut off a lock of her hair on a campus shuttle bus, triggering an investigation.
University spokeswoman Lauren Robinson-Brown said Wednesday that Lohman admitted to campus security he cut women's hair and poured semen and urine into women's drinks when they were not looking.
Lohman, who was working toward a doctorate in math, was charged with two counts each of recklessly endangering another person and tampering with a food product, one count of theft and one of harassment.
Since his arrest, he has been in a mental health ward of a hospital in Trenton, The Times of Trenton reported Wednesday.
University President Shirley M. Tilghman said Lohman has been barred from campus.

And now the interactive smart azz remark for the evening:
It begins:
1) A bus leaves Princeton at 11:30pm on a Friday going 55 mph.

Cut him loose! He could find gainful employment in some bars in L.A. or S.F. and teach at CSU as a visiting professor of this when feeling bored. During the summer, he could teach a seminar.

Nah. Mathematicians tend to be crazy. That was my thought as well. I've met a couple of certified mathematical geniuses, PhDs, credentials out the wazoo that were nearly incapable of dealing with other people. One of them started going ballistic at virtually no provocation. I stopped associating with him when he started carrying around guns.

If I recall even more hazily, it was from Harvard.
Something in the water at Ivy League colleges...
