1997 Russia Visit Reportedly Backed by Business Interests
A six-day trip to Moscow in 1997 by then-House Majority Whip Tom DeLay (R-Tex.) was underwritten by business interests lobbying in support of the Russian government, according to four people with firsthand knowledge of the trip arrangements . . . . .

Rush has a correction from David Frum about the WaPo article - which was full of errors. Wait till you read this. Turns out DeLay is SQUEAKY CLEAN on the trip to Russia.
And .. there's a great article about Harry Ried's sons - THIS STUFF ABOUT REID MAKES DeLAY LOOK LIKE A CHOIR BOY.

Who's cryin' now baby!!
Methinks this is a shot across the bow in preparation for the probable showdown regarding the Constitutional Option in confirming Bush court appointees. There will be another Ellen Romisch moment.
Please enlighten me or refresh my memory. Who is Ellen Romisch? Thanks!
During the first Clinton administration one of the many Clinton scandals was percolating to the top. George Stephanopoulos went on the David Brinckley Show and said that if the Clinton critics persist then the Clintonians would resort to an Ellen Romisch strategy. It was then explained that Ellen Romisch was a Nazi spy who had had a sexual relationship with JFK. The press knew about it but did not publish it out of concern for the country (Democrat). Under the Ellen Romisch strategy all bets are off and anything goes whether it means airing the dirty laundry of Republicans or media types. It was extortion.
Ahhh yes, now I remember...thanks again.
What goes around, comes around. Soon we'll be airing the Clinton's dirty laundry...and there's enough to fill a large lake.
Taking bets that the Republican No-Nads Club "distances" themselves from Delay and lets him get eaten by Dmmocrat sharks.
If the Republican leadership starts bailing on DeLay, they may find that when it's their turn under fire that there's noone around to cover them. I plan to keep track of who's got guts and who's more interested in their own PR.
(Yep, that is a threat!)
Hillary is a slush fund
This is why the Legacy Media os losing circulation and relevancy.
With all of the free news on the internet, we need to organize a MASSIVE effort to boycott the newspapers and advertisers in those papers who are so unbalanced and biased in their articles and editorials. If they are Dem propaganda sheets, why should ANY conservative pay for the garbage. Get the news from Drudgereport.com and from smaller weekly papers and the FOX network.
Glad you're keeping alert!
Talking about trips that should be investigated, there were all those Clinton trips with in-laws, and an enormous number of them at that.
All kinds of creepy crawly bugs are coming out of the woodwork attacking this absolutely wonderful man. Somebody tell them to please get over the 2000 election...or they may go the way of the Dodo birds.
The Democrats should be moving for impeachment hearings on DeLay. If they won't they can't. Thus they should STFU.
In My Humble Opinion . . . .
Just like a large part of the hysteria from the Dem's, the liberal MSM, and the Hollywood freak set, a lot of the hysteria and smear on DeLay is because of the threat to judicial activism posed by strong, conservative Legislative and Executive Branches of the Federal govt.
Liberals have had activist judges carrying their load for years without precendent or Constitutional support (i.e. separation of church and state, Roe v Wade, parental rights, etc. etc.) and this legislation by judicial oligarchy is threatened when a leader like Tom DeLay says enought. The hysteria surrounding DeLay by the MSM is absolutely ludicrous.
