Y'all might want to be careful who you hang out with. If you are pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-constitution, pro-Liberty, pro-America and post to FreeRepublic.com, you risk being labeled as an "extremist."
That puts you in the company of extremist folks like George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, Ben Franklin, & Co.
As extremists, "We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately."
Speaking of quotes from our extremist forefathers, someone sent me these this morning:

The state was not ordering death. It was simply determining whether TS's legal guardian had the power to order her feeding tube removed.
That being said, under the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure, the Schindlers could've gotten a jury trial if they had properly asked for one. Do you know whether they asked for one at all? Yeah, I figured you didn't.
That's all academic, though - the "falsehood" I referenced - the one that some people might read on the internet and believe - is the Terri Schiavo did not "have the benefit of a trial" - it didn't say anything about a jury trial. I really do wish that those people who understand something about how the internet works would recognize that there is a responsibility that attaches to publishing a statement in cyberspace - because others might read it and attach some truth to it. Truth that may have been entirely absent from the statement up to that time. That's probably even more likely when the publisher is one who commands a certain amount of respect and authority in cyberspace.

Something is telling me that the person or people who said that to you have no real basis to make any comparison.
But then again, most of the Founders were called 'extremists'.

All this hand-wringing about diversity from the left and here we are as a grand example of that diversity and they're calling us extremists. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

I guess it's a matter of perspective. You see this as a death penalty case, I see it as a civil dispute between family members to determine whether the legal guardian has the power to take a certain action.
The only involvement of the government in this case was due to the request of the civil parties.
Really? Make your argument, counselor. Argue a constitutional right to a jury trial in this case.
I'll get popcorn.
