I've seen, Elian, Buchanan, Liberterian, Lucianne, cause people to walk away. None of these crybabies has been missed not one, ni uno. The site has alway gone on. The site has always remained very good. It will always go on so long a JR continues.
Right here with you....although I have been called a zealot and a hypocrite and many other worse names by my own loved ones....LOL.
I never said she was. I said she was just a little bit in better shape than someone on a respirator.
Tell me when she was conclusively proven to be 'braindead'.
She was not braindead. However, all of the credible experts who examined her concluded that her higher brain had, literally, melted. We've all seen the images of her brain.
Like I said, the TS case was a little difficult because she wasn't braindamaged "enough." However, she was so close to braindead as to make no practical difference.
Judge Greer issued an execution order for Terri Schiavo, what do you not understand about execution order?
Our founding fathers would be stunned beyond belief if they were here today and saw that "their Constitution" had been so perverted as to give women the right to kill their unborn children. STUNNED!
Not when it comes though a feeding tube, they ask not to have it, and they live in Florida.
The ONLY issue in the Schiavo case, legally, is did she ask not to have it. People have testified in different ways on that question - none of us, AFAIK, heard any of those stories on cross-examination.
But, if she asked not to have it, it ain't murder - not even by the Vatican's definition.
As mentioned above, the court only ended up making the final determination because MS decided to invoke the court's jurisdiction. The court was simply playing a surrogate role here.
I guess you found a member of the 9% crowd....

[Zogby poll]
But it's the 91% of us who are extremists. FReegards....
Terri Schiavo, for YOUR intents and purposes, died 15 years ago.
If that is the definition of extremism I plead guilty. Under this criteria of values I can think of few higher honors.
We extremists can't help ourselves.
Then why didn't the Schindlers' attorneys request a trial by jury?
From your post 127: "So, in your mind, someone in a wheelchair is exactly the same as someone who is braindead and on a respirator?"
The person of subject was Terri Schindler.
So your sidestepping isn't.
Now either back it up with fact and links, or shut your trap.
Oh no! It's the Godfather, the Big Kahuna, the GRand PooBah of extremists! :)
If you want Americans to have respect for and obey the law then the legal system has to have two things happen.
1) the process must be seen as fair.
2) The outcome must resemble justice
the process was completely unfair to Terri and those advocating for her
The outcome, death by starvation, bore no resemblance to American Justice but looked to a lot of us like justice in Nazi Germany.
So you can make all the clever argument you like but the bottom line is that if the courts keep this crap up, the entire nation will just say screw the law and screw the courts too.
It didn't. The court played a surrogate role at MS's request.
Good grief.
Why is it that all the folks in support of taking away Terri's water and food are so incredibly ignorant (to put it mildly)?
But because only some of us have experience in the world of diagnostic imaging, only some of us realized that phrases and words like "melted" and "all cerebrospinal fluid" were bogus. She had cortex, very badly damaged cortex but here's the catch. Nobody knows how much cortex one needs to retain higher functions. And since no Pet or fMRI was ordered we'll never know if she had any activity in those remaining neurons and synapses.
