They picked 2001 for the start date but Terri's dcf file goes back much further than 2001 and A BROKEN WHEELCHAIR COMES TO MIND. I suspect the four-year statute of limitations is the deciding factor, although in this case it is somewhat absurd that they don't investigate anything outside of that since a real investigation might find enough evidence to convict some people of murder, for which there is no statute of limitations.
I'm curious, though: suppose someone were to plant a time bomb set to go off in 1,462 days (4 years plus a day) and hid it well enough that it wasn't discovered until it went off. If the bomb didn't kill anyone, could that person be convicted of anything if, in the four years prior to the blast, he did nothing to bring it about?

THANK you Judith Anne.
I also found this (from Smithee)
http://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1368642/posts?page=1#1 that Michael said on Larry King, March 2005
-- when King asks what may have caused her collapse:
KING: What was finally diagnosed as the reason for what happened to her?
SCHIAVO: They're speculating that she had bulimia.
KING: Did you have any knowledge of that?
SCHIAVO: No, I did not.
.......and this

Felos filed a motion to prevent Dr. Walker's testimony being admitted into evidence. He won, because Greer thought that though the broken bones were "interesting," they were irrelevant to Terri's condition.

This LAST ONE makes me FURIOUS, because GREER ALSO decided
to BLOCK the DCF from investigating the same charges that GREER found 'interesting' but irrelevant!!!!!

"Thought I'd pass this along - came across a bunch of envelopers from varying parts of the Republican Party all asking for answers to questions (EXCLUDING illegal immigration) and asking for a donation."
That's so they can truthfully say, "nobody who answered our survey said anything about illegal immigration." That's how the big 2 political parties work...

"Under the current law in most states, even if you clearly specify that you do not want to be starved to death, a doctor or a hospital doesnt have to give you the food and fluids that youve asked for. Even if you have filled out a legal document choosing food and water, a hospital ethics committee can say that your quality of life doesnt measure up to their standards, and you will slowly die against your will."
There has never been such a push to get patients to die as there is now. And that push is coming from medical sources funded by wealthy foundations.
At the same time, many of those foundations are funding more medical research into lifesaving/life-extending medicine and technology than ever before. Not to mention more medical/technological advances to help the disabled.
Who are the intended beneficiaries of these advances if most of the patients who could be helped are killed off? Killed off, no less, by the same profession that makes the life-extending advances?
Things you gotta wonder about -

Any decent Judge would have thrown MS out of the court room and handed Terri over to her parents the minute it was found out that MS was cheating on Terri. He didn't because he was either a very bad judge or he had a stake in some money or MS had something on him. Or he himself has cheated on HIS wife and sympathizes with a fellow member of THAT club.
You said it in one word, DECENT.

Or he himself has cheated on HIS wife and sympathizes with a fellow member of THAT club. Yes because I can guarantee you that if the Judge Greer's goal was to follow what Terri's wish was than it is inconceivable that he would make her stay married to a man that has kids with another woman. Bottom line is that Greer didn't give 2 hoots about what Terri wanted, he only concerned himself with what Michael wanted. I guess via George Greer bigamy and adultery is not against the law in Florida.

Do words break bones?
David Limbaugh
It's a pretty sad day in America when one cannot criticize the judiciary and even individual judges without being accused of advocating violence against judges. This strained connection is but another example of liberals trying to chill conservative speech.
As if all the charges against House Majority Leader Tom DeLay were not enough, the Left has also implied that DeLay was inciting violence against judges by a remark he made during the Terri Schiavo turmoil

Father Pavone calls this the MOST IMPORTANT VOTE, so please get your friends to call.
ACTION: You can reach your senators through the Capitol Switchboard today, or any day, at (202) 224-3121. Just dial this number and ask to be transferred to your Senator's office. You'll have to call twice in order to place a call to each of your two Senators. (You can get direct contact information for both of your home state Senators at the website, judicialnetwork.org, as well.) If you call the main switchboard, simply ask for the Senator you are calling, and when that Senator's office answers, explain that you support a return to the constitutional tradition of a fair up-or-down vote on judicial nominees and an end to the filibuster of judges.
We recommend that you also call the local state office of your Senator with the same message.
It is even more powerful if you pay a visit to the local state office to register your concern.
If the main number is constantly busy, it might be easier to call your U.S. Senators directly.
You can find their numbers by clicking here:
