"Michael [Schiavo] Doesn't Want To Respond"
CNN.com - Larry King Live ^ | March 21, 2005 | Larry King, Michael Schiavo, George Felos

Posted on 03/23/2005 2:32:07 AM PST by L.N. Smithee

CALLER: Quick comment. I'm not understanding why a blood relative wouldn't make this decision and not a non-blood relative. My question is, if this happened 15 years ago, and this gentleman and his wife decided between them that they would pull the tube and let each other die if they were in this kind of a situation, what took him eight years to make that decision and why didn't he make it in those first eight years and has now had another seven years tacked on?

KING: Michael doesn't want to respond (UNINTELLIGIBLE). George [Felos], you want to respond?

FELOS: Sure. For those years, Michael was trying desperately to -- as, I guess, he had a desperate hope that Terri would get better, despite the doctors telling him that, you know, Mike, there's nothing there, there is no hope. He refused to believe it. It took many, many years for Michael to finally, I guess, come to reality and believe that Terri was not coming back.

While he didn't want to expand on the "promise" that Terri and he made with each other about "tubes," Schiavo is quite expansive -- needlessly so -- when King asks what may have caused her collapse:

KING: What was finally diagnosed as the reason for what happened to her?

SCHIAVO: They're speculating that she had bulimia.

KING: Did you have any knowledge of that?

SCHIAVO: No, I did not.

KING: Was she concerned about her weight?

SCHIAVO: Believe me -- she was always concerned with her weight, yes. She was very heavy when she was younger, before I met her. Bulimia is a very secretive disease. You can ask any psychologist about that, that deals with that, and he'll tell you that it's a very secretive, quiet disease. Family members will never -- will tell you that they never knew that she -- these bulimics were that way.

Seems to me his answer is carefully insulated against a charge from "family members" who would insist that Terri was not bulimic.

Sorry, but if Mikey said it was raining outside, I'd go and get wet for myself...he's about as believable as Bill Clinton.

These two are pathological liars. Both are caught in lie after lie, and yet some people still insist on taking what they say at face value. Just incredible!

Gotta love this part:
KING: In all this time, you have -- you're involved with someone else, you have children. Do you have any emotional tie left to Terri? In other words, this is just keeping a promise? Did you tell her when she said, I want to be removed, you will see that it would be? Did you make a promise to her?

SCHIAVO: Yes. I made a promise to her, like she did with me. I loved my wife. She will always be a part of my life. She will always be in my heart. Terri and I weren't against each other when this happened. We were very much in love, and she will always be a part of my heart, Larry. She will never leave it.

KING: How does it affect your feelings for your new family?

SCHIAVO: I can love more than one person. Everybody can do that.

Everybody can do that: commit adultery, live in bigamy. Right.

Schiavo is being very cautious when it comes to discussing his current adulterous relationship. This exchange immediately followed the featured quote:

KING: Michael, how is your fiancee taking all of this, how is she handling this rollercoaster ride you're on?

SCHIAVO: She's very supportive of me, and I'm really not going to make any comments about that part of my life.

Has anyone done a timeline regarding when he and his first girlfriend started up, and when Centonze came thereafter, and compared it with the moment he revealed his and Terri's "promise?"

This (old) transcript doesn't do the following exchange justice, but here goes:
CALLER: Hi Larry. I have a question for Michael. Since he's so passionate about it being Terri's wish, when she was 25 years old, that watching a TV program, to give peace to Terri's parents and brother, why doesn't he just take a lie detector test?

...

KING: Would you take one?

SCHIAVO: I'll refrain from that right now.

KING: OK. This ain't a court.

SCHIAVO: It's not a court.

Bingo! The so-called husband has a lot to hide...but sooner or later everything will be brought into the light. In fact has Terri starves to death because of this thug, a solid case for murder is being constructed.

Maybe the facts will never come out. Since there will be no mercy for Terri, there will also be no legal way for her parents to demand an autopsy.

We will see Michael refuse an autopsy and order cremation.

There has to be legal back door methods with the mounting evidence of suspicion. Refusing to hold an autopsy and ordering immediate cremation should be raising red flags. What's this creep hiding?

Where is the 'justice' in the American justice system if a slithering snake like this is not held to account?

SCHIAVO: I can love more than one person. Everybody can do that.

Especially if there is a nice big bundle of insurance money attached to that person.

according to Terri's brother on Fox last night, Michael had his first girlfriends as early as a year and a half after Terri's collapse.

He knew she would want to live. End of story.

Let the man speak and incriminate himself..it's fine with me.

Once again a question that should have been asked of Micheal in court.

Or else he is a legal serial killer:

From Larry King Live Aired October 27, 2003 - 21:00 ET

CALLER: Yes. Does it bother you that the death is so slow? Maybe Dr. Kevorkian-style would be a faster, more peaceful way?

SCHIAVO: Removing somebody's feeding is very painless. It is a very easy way to die. Probably the second better way to die, being the first being an aneurysm.

And it doesn't bother me at all. I've seen it happen. I had to do it with my own parents.

They have that all figured out also.

Upon autopsy (after starving her to death) her the brain will be further damaged hiding the original state.

It will difficult to impossible to tell what the condition of the brain was prior to death.
