Seems to me his answer is carefully insulated against a charge from "family members" who would insist that Terri was not bulimic.
KING: What was finally diagnosed as the reason for what happened to her?SCHIAVO: They're speculating that she had bulimia.
KING: Did you have any knowledge of that?
SCHIAVO: No, I did not.
KING: Was she concerned about her weight?
SCHIAVO: Believe me -- she was always concerned with her weight, yes. She was very heavy when she was younger, before I met her. Bulimia is a very secretive disease. You can ask any psychologist about that, that deals with that, and he'll tell you that it's a very secretive, quiet disease. Family members will never -- will tell you that they never knew that she -- these bulimics were that way.
These two are pathological liars. Both are caught in lie after lie, and yet some people still insist on taking what they say at face value. Just incredible!
KING: In all this time, you have -- you're involved with someone else, you have children. Do you have any emotional tie left to Terri? In other words, this is just keeping a promise? Did you tell her when she said, I want to be removed, you will see that it would be? Did you make a promise to her?Everybody can do that: commit adultery, live in bigamy. Right.SCHIAVO: Yes. I made a promise to her, like she did with me. I loved my wife. She will always be a part of my life. She will always be in my heart. Terri and I weren't against each other when this happened. We were very much in love, and she will always be a part of my heart, Larry. She will never leave it.
KING: How does it affect your feelings for your new family?
SCHIAVO: I can love more than one person. Everybody can do that.
Michael Schiavo is a LIAR!!!!!
Let the man speak and incriminate himself..it's fine with me.
Once again a question that should have been asked of Micheal in court.
From Larry King Live Aired October 27, 2003 - 21:00 ET
CALLER: Yes. Does it bother you that the death is so slow? Maybe Dr. Kevorkian-style would be a faster, more peaceful way?
SCHIAVO: Removing somebody's feeding is very painless. It is a very easy way to die. Probably the second better way to die, being the first being an aneurysm.
And it doesn't bother me at all. I've seen it happen. I had to do it with my own parents.
This is a strange comment to make when marital problems were not the topic of discussion unless it was triggered as an involuntary defense against what has been alleged by acquaintances. I've read that their relationship was stormy, that Michael was overbearing and abusive and that suspicion exists he may have caused Terri's collapse that night in their apartment.
Terri's brother in an interview stated that the ambulance crew upon their arrival found it necessary to call the police and that in the original police report, the incident was listed as attempted homicide or homicide (not sure) but was not investigated.
How many opportunities to kill Terri will this creature of death be afforded?
Oh please. He stopped therapy and put a DNR on her chart three months after the malpractice settlement. Which it was three years after her collapse, not 8.
And he only began to recall "Terri's wishes" after he retained Felos, who, as a well-known euthanasia advocate, likely encouraged him to remember something that would help their case and Felos' agenda.
When medical personnel were sued for not diagnosing her eating disorder correctly, did her family enter a dispute in that lawsuit and contend she did not have an eating disorder?
GARY FOX, 1992 ATTORNEY FOR (Michael) SCHIAVOS (sic): What happened, Greta, as best we know, is that Terri had a condition known as bulimia (search). It's an eating disorder. She'd had it for many years. She grew up as a chubby, overweight child, and over time, she coped with that condition by developing this eating disorder, bulimia.
One night, Michael and Terri had had dinner. And she had had a large meal, and not long after the meal, he heard a thumping sound in the couple's bathroom, went to investigate, found Terri lying on the floor of the bathroom. She had just purged, apparently, or vomited, binged, which is what bulimics do and had a heart attack. And by the time that fire rescue arrived at the Schiavo home, why, she had suffered severe brain damage.
