Rev. Gene Robinson: Jesus 'might be 'gay''

Episcopal Bishop Gene Robinson, the first openly
homosexual bishop of his denomination, has angered
traditionalist Anglicans by suggesting that Jesus
Christ might have been homosexual.

Robinson, who left his wife – and mother of his two
daughters – to cohabit with his male lover, Mark, made
his inflammatory remarks during an address
titled, "Homosexuality and the Body of Christ: Is There
a New Way?" at Christ Church of Hamilton and Wenham,
Massachusetts. The bishop was asked by a congregant how
Christians could both accept homosexuality and the
Bible's emphasis on redemption for sins.

Maybe Jesus wasn't gay, but how about the 12 disciples?

Judas' motivation may have been unrequited love?

Oh, great. I'm surprised it took him this long to come up with open heresy.

This guy is going to make "Bishop" Spong look like Mother Teresa.

At the very least, they have been ingratiating themselves to the world for quite a while. Often you are more likely to meet fervent golfers.

"saying he has reconciled his homosexuality and his faith"

I think "rationalized" is the appropriate word here. I do not see how any supposedly learned man of Faith could possibly come to the conclusion that homosexuality is an accepted Christian practice.

Were he a Catholic Monsignor, the Pope John Paul II would certainly have defrocked him and his elevation to Bishop would never have even become an issue. The Pope was steadfastly (and very vocally) against homosexuality in any way, shape or form.

It's too bad Paul Lynde is no longer with us. He would have been a great casting choice to play Pontius Pilate in such a comedy or perhaps a gay bishop in this forthcoming Tom Hanks/Opie farce, The Da Vinci Code.

Gene Scott.

If he's dead, then that is good. Not for him, because he is likely burning in hell, but for those that he decieved. Maybe they will have a chance at the truth now.

However, the concern is that he take millions of little
lambs with him, as they follow one they believe to be a
shepherd while he actually leads them straight into
oblivion.

"-had a disciple who was known as 'the one whom Jesus loved'-

Homosexuals are always confusing love with sex. That's the whole problem."

!!!!! Exactly!

2 Peter 2:1

But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.

This lying and blasphemy about Christ will get worse and worse as the end of the age approaches. This man will one day stand before the Jesus that he has blasphemed and I can't imagine a more horrific reality. I see that he is rather aged so his opportunites for repentence and forgiveness are running short.

God help him.

The Episcopal Church has been experiencing lunacy in many forms.

As a child, I remember Bishop Pike holding seances in order to "commune" with his son who committed suicide. I wish I could remember if Bishop Pike was heretical in other ways, as though holding seances weren't heretical enough!

Then about the same time or a little after, we had The Rev. Malcom Boyd, "Are You Running with me, Jesus?" who later admitted he was homosexual and I believe died of some side-effect of AIDS (I think thi was before AIDS was full blown and we knew the Sarcosi's Sarcoma was a result of end-state AIDS).

And today, with Vicky Gene Robinson, my Church continues to lambasted by idiots, lunatics and heretics.

The thing is that the strength within, the call to holiness by the Orthodox Bishops and Priests, is growing stronger and more vocal and while I pray that if schism occurs, it makes "sense" in some form, whatever that means. I can tell you that the heretical and sacrireligous aren't exactly getting their way. The number of "Orthodox" seems to grow weekly, and I, for one, am praying that we can force the liberal, "the Bible is document that changes through time", and those who believe that it has to change with the times and be "relevant" to today (as though the Word of God wasn't supposed to be for all of us, for all time,) will be the ones to leave, en masse.

On another topic, it was a year ago that I had ahadams2 email address in my cellphone, sending Arlin updates from the first "Plano East" at the Hylton Chapel in Dale City, VA. Yesterday was "Plano East II" and I was unable to attend, but since it was held Friday night and all day Saturday, it means that the pulpits of the 9 large, Orthodox Anglican Churches here in No. VA are being graced with men of vision, men of Orthodoxy, men for whom the Bible is the unmutable, UNchanging, EVER faithful Word of God. We are blessed to have these men amongst us for times such as these.

I miss you, my dear friend, Arlin. But I do know that you are in a far, far better place.

why does this sunofabitch get any print at all?

Because the MSM is not only amoral but loves to aid in the killing or splintering of a Church, since being anti-religious and anti-spiritual is also part of that amoral agenda.

Thank you TruthNtegrity, and All,

May the Lord continue to show faithful Anglicans how to stand against deceitful doctrines that tickle the ears but are an offense to God and to His Holy Word and a lead down a crooked path that resulting in death, destruction, and alienation for Our Heavenly Father, The Lord Jesus Christ our Savior, and the Blessed Holy Spirit, as well as from all of redeemed mankind who have gone before and are now worshipping at the throne of God, crying Holy, Holy, Holy.

And no doubt Arlin will caucus with all of us when we're there too, to review all that happened after he was called home to Glory, seven months ago today.

Good to hear from you.
All blessings,
Sharon Adams

Case in point, go to CNN and in nearly every instance you will see the His Holiness referred to as "pope" in all sentences except when it is the first word. There is no respect here, or he would have been referred to as ""Pope". It might seem like a trivial thing but too us Catholics it is a great affront.

On Fox I only saw one instance of it and it may have just been someone typing too quickly and not proofreading; I've done it myself.
