RIP

A good Christian man.

As responsible as Ronald Reagan for the destruction of the Soviet Block.

Moral leader.

Pretty darn good job and life.

I do not speak as a Catholic. I do speak as a Christian, and am begging those of you who feel the need to joke, malign, or dispute the Pope or the Catholic Church, to please think twice.

Could we for once, all be brother's and sister's and hold the hands of those of us who are in mourning at this time? I think we can do that. Let's stand together this time..........ok?

Unless you have a special pipeline to God, he has lost consciousness according to MSNBC @ 1:35pm est.

I really hate to break it to you, but MSNBC is not the be-all-and-end-all of the news media. Sorry you're left behind.

Negative.

The greatest Pole ever has gone to be with the Lord.

That's arguably true, that Karol Wojtytla was the greatest Pole ever. Of course, you have to argue past Jan Sobieski, who led the defense of Vienna against Kara Mustafa and the Turks in 1683 and so prevented a wholesale Turkish invasion of Europe.

My all time favorite picture of the Pope, with my all-time favorite joke caption:
"Thanks, B, but I really wanted a white Les Paul Custom."

Rest in peace, Karol.
