The law distinguishes between "straight" suicide and the refusal of medical treatments. Besides, nobody really gets prosecuted for suicide or attempted suicide, so we're obviously not all that serious about the concept.

Being a woman of child bearing age doesn't mean you can't be stupid. They've been forcefed secular humanism from birth, plus Roe v. Wade and the bogus right to abortion which some doubtless think is literally right there in black and white in the Constitution. And yes, some are so lazy, so morally corrupt that they think abortion is a form of birth control. Horrible.

According to polls, most of them are okay with it. They'll need some persuading if we're going to change the law.

All judges everywhere do that - that's what judges do. We allow them a certain amount of discretion in what comes in and what stays out - they're not judicial machines, after all, and some of it is a judgement call. The mere fact that some of us disagree with the ruling is not prima facie evidence that what the judge did was wrong - half the people who come into civil court wind up disagreeing with the verdict, because that's what courts do. If there was abuse, then the autopsy should still show it - small comfort, I know, but if that was the case then it is still entirely possible that this affair isn't over yet.
Ultimately, what's constitutional doesn't depend on what judges say, or what Congress says, or any of that. Ultimately, the Constitution has as much or as little meaning as we, the people, allow it to have. Right now, there isn't much of a clamor to change things, so that'll have to change before the law can change, likely.
Her looks have nothing to do with anything.
She was in grave error to take up with a married man, what's in her heart who knows.
However it was Michael Schiavo and his lawyer who brought all this to pass with Terri, not her.
What influence on it all she might have been we do not know. What I've seen of Michael Schiavo tells me he didn't need any coaxing.
Let's not allow this to put evil thoughts in our hearts.

I think that Jody better be careful. Now that Terri is gone he and things will slow down with him and the Schindlers he will have to express his anger on someone and i think Jody will be his next victim! She better be careful!
