I agree - I have a hard time believe he cared very much about Terri's wishes or her passing. A caring husband doesn't shack up with someone else and have illegitimate children while waiting for his wife to die. If it weren't for that and the curious circumstances of the malpractice money and withholding rehab, I might've believed him. Like you said, Idisarthur, actions will tell.

Suicide is against the law. That's the refusal of life, right?

Thanks be to God my Friends. I made sure to water the transplanted peonies today. I hope they bloom. If they do, I'll try to send a picture to the Schindlers for whom my heart aches.

What about citizens who simply allowed the law to go through? Don't the have a government of the people, by the people and for the people there, or did they just not notice until this little gem led to the death of a human.

But, judges are also at fault in this case. Greer picked and chose what evidence to admit. When presented with evidence of Terri's bone scan and asked by the Schindler's attorney for some time to investigate, he said what happened years ago wasn't "relevant" and threw it out. Until 2000 NO ONE, not doctors, lawyers, or Terri's family, etc. were aware of it...it was part of MS's hidden medical records.

Now he may not have been responsible for the incredible trauma she suffered, but that extreme damage could not have been caused by therapy. Nor could it not have been caused by the paramedics attempting to save her life. CPR may cause a couple of broken ribs, but it cannot cause a broken back or femur broken in the MIDDLE (do you realize how hard it is to break your thigh bone in the middle...it's one of the largest bones in our bodies, requiring extreme blunt force to break.) A few years ago during a high school soccer game my son was kicked full force in the middle of his thigh by a goalie that was twice his size and wearing cleats. He looked like he'd laid his thigh on a waffle iron and closed the lid. He was on crutches for a month, but only CHIPPED his femur. In addition she had neck trauma, trauma to her ankles, damage to her vertebrae, etc. She hadn't been in a car accident, she hadn't fallen from a horse. If I fell on my bathroom floor right now as Terri was supposed to have done, I might bump my head and be unconscious, I might break an arm, but I would not, COULD NOT sustain that kind of trauma unless my bathroom required a 10 foot ladder to get into.

Since experts at the time said these injuries COULD NOT have happened more than 18 months before the bone scan was taken, I think it's relevant to find out what caused that trauma. Unfortunately the police couldn't investigate it because the statute of limitations had run out since Terri was still alive. It's also worth noting that what caused them to do the bone scan in the first place is that during therapy she kept SAYING no! stop! to the physical therapists so they wanted to find out what was causing her pain.

What we do know is that she did not have a heart attack (documented by her med. records from the emergency room), but she did have a low potassium level and elevated blood sugar. We can also surmise that she most likely did not have bulimia since we know her weight loss had occured several years before this incident. If she had bulimia she would have continued to lose weight. None of her friends or family saw any evidence of it, including MS who stated a couple of times ON THE RECORD she didn't have it. We also know her therapy was working early on and she was making progress in all areas (also evidenced by medical records) before MS had it abruptly stopped.

Thus an investigation into the cause of her "accident" seems paramount to determining guardianship. Greer refused. Every other court refused to review the facts, even after congress gave the feds authority and obligation to do so.

The media bears a role in this too for refusing to investigate Terri's story. There was certainly enough evidence that things weren't what they seemed. But since it didn't fit their agenda and involved actual investigative work instead of rewriting the latest Felos press release, they didn't do their job either.

There's plenty of blame to go around. This woman was failed by nearly everyone surrounding the case. It's such an overwhelming tragedy and miscarriage of justice I can hardly comprehend it.

Cindie

That would be nice. My heart aches for them, as well. This horror no American family should have had to endure, especially not by state sanction.

If you happened to catch Hannity and Colmes last night, Catherine Crier was promoting her book, cowritten with another lawyer (maybe a judge), a man of great sense...can't recall his name. Anyway, Catherine went ballistic about this case, said it was all political, that the judicial branch was under attack, that they'd done the right thing denying Terri food and water, etc. She looked as if her head was going to explode because the other lawyer kept making sensible points, such as the fact that activist judges terrified of what's coming down the road were asserting power over congress and the president. He insisted what they'd done was unconstitutional.

Who would you shoot? The women? In that case, you'd better buy a lot of bullets..and who will dry the tears of the living children of these women? Women who've had abortions are victims, they have been tricked..and need your compassion.

That was the movie I kept thinking of yesterday and couldn't recall. 'Logan's Run'. Not farfetched at all.

I've been thinking of that one lately. It's not farfetched. Maybe elderly Alzheimer's patients in nursing homes are next. Many certainly would starve without proper care; perhaps we'll see laws passed where the State assumes guardianship over them, and gets to make these choices for them.

There is precedent--all Germans weren't hauled before the Nuremburg judges.

However, the 'architects' of the Nazi regime, and those who designed and operated the death camps were.......and we know who they are.

Greer also appointed himself as Terri's guardian.

You didn't answer me. I asked you who would you shoot and asked if you would shoot the women who've been conned and have had abortions. I am asking you to clarify your statement about whose records you would seize at planned parenthood. Thank you.

Dr. Dobson: Judges Guilty of 'Cold-Blooded Extermination'
NewsMax.com Wires
Thursday, March 31, 2005
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Focus on the Family Chairman Dr. James C. Dobson issued the following statement today after learning of the death of Terri Schiavo:
"Today is a tragic day for the Schindler family - and, indeed, for the entire human family. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Schindlers, who have been made to watch their beloved daughter and sister waste away for the last two weeks - under not only the approval of the courts, but under their direct order.

"Every Florida and federal judge who failed to act to spare this precious woman from the torment she was forced to endure is guilty not only of judicial malfeasance – but of the cold-blooded, cold-hearted extermination of an innocent human life. Terri Schiavo has been executed, under the guise of law and 'mercy,' for being guilty of nothing more than the inability to speak for herself.

"I grieve for the Schindlers today, and I fear for the future of our nation."

"we all did by not electing legislatures who have the spine to stand up and do right."

Why is it that you insist on electing them scumbag politicians who answer only to the ruling elite? Are you, perhaps, part of the elite? Or, do you think that this is a political issue? This is NOT a political issue. Politics has failed, and will continue to fail the people again and again. Oh, I see, you mean to elect the lesser of two evils. I get it now. Remember though that today's evil may turn out to be tomorrow's evil, and I'd rather be wrong today by not voting for the lesser of two evils, than vote for him/her and be sorry tomorrow, as most people are sorry today for voting for them elitist scumbags.

Politics have failed us miserably and will continue to do so as long as us peons will continue to transfer our rights and power to them. As we speak this very moment our pourous borders have become open floodgates to the alien cultures of the world who bring with them, beside their alien non-Western culture and values, terrorism, crime, educational chaos, job losses, cultural erosion and language barriers, not to mention the fact that they're loyal to their country of origin than my country - America.

The answer to curing our problems and discords is not political and cannot be solved by the party or by the same minds that are obliterating our country and taking it down the abysss of history.

The solution is in the awakening of the people to reality and to the truth that is being hidden from us peons. Multiculturalism, diversity, compassion, pluralism, tolerance and various other assorted leftist euphemisms and fancy ready-made phrases are the tools that the elitists are using to impose their tyranny on the people.

I'm sick and tired of seeing the country our forefathers build from the wilderness continue to slid and slide into Third Worldism.

I respectfully diagree. Although I would concur that many are tricked by bloodthirsty organizations like Planned Parenthood, some do it as a method of birth control. I personally know of two. ("If I get pregnant, I'll just have an abortion." And they did...)

You could well be right. Michael could live to 86 and be an exemplary husband/father, etc.. But no thinking person will forget what happened to Terri, and if the autopsy shows anything untoward, he'll have to answer for that...unless Felos manages to place the blame on a minimum wage hospice worker. Michael likes his creature comforts -- the twin Mercedes is a dead giveaway. He won't be able to resist the the tabloids, and tv and book offers.(Felos has probably got his signature on half a dozen lucrative deals already.) Americans will get sick of him, and there's nobody like the public for being fickle. If they think he's making money on Terri's dead body, they'll hate him.

....there is no end for this crowd....we have already heard the likes of Peter Sanger promoting the idea that women should be allowed to kill their own children for a month after birth. It's like they are compressing their domain at both ends of the spectrum of age. Death for the very young (abortion) death for the advanced in age (euthanasia). Terry was a bold play for the middle of the field. Nobody is safe from these people, I'll say that again.

These liberal activist judges may as well add an executioners hood to their black garb to complete the 'uniform'. It would be the most honest thing they've ever done.

OH? Massachusetts Supreme Court sure thinks it has the power to order that a law be "fixed" or else.

We're supposed to be opposing that in all cases, not merely when we don't like the outcome.
