Getting hauled off to prison wouldn't have preserved Terri's precious life any more than Henry David Thoreau's refusal to pay taxes wound up abolishing chattel slavery in the United States.
After they way that they abandoned Terri, who in his right mind would follow Jeb and W on "other issues"? Let Jeb and W put their own coalitons together on what is important to them, but don't ask Terri supporters to participate.

We ain't seen nuthin yet. America is not an emanation from the whole. Not being an individual it can't have the attribution of moral. Values in a historical context? Impossible.
Nope, I disagree. The Constitution was given legitimacy by the states that ratified it. As far as slavery, there was something that was done and it was done legally.
FL, all states, and the U.S. government do not recognize the Vatican's authority, but we send an ambassador there, don't we? It's all window dressing to keep Catholics "happy."

FWIW, the inhabitants of The Hobbit Hole and the Neverending Thread are not "troll-inspired." We've both "imploded" a thread (filled 'em up).

I hope you are not accusing me unjustly. Please read my posts and decide for yourself how much I supported Terri's right to live and against the murderer...But we are all guilty and we all have blood on our hands because we did not do enough to stop this crime...
An innocent victim of a perverted justice system, executed in a cruel and unusual manner, seems rather Christ-like to me..
Christ like, but not Christ...A martyr against Egotistical judges, culture-of-death Nazis and Defend-the-law-at-all-costs Libertarians, surely.
The balance of powers is pretty whacked out too. A proper remedy would be for the legislatures to impeach every single judge involved; Florida and Federal District, and Federal Circuit Court. That would be a start. But watch, it won't happen. Talk is cheaper.
RIP. Whatever her real wishes were, and we'll never know, she surely never wished to be starved to death in this barbaric fashion.
