"God have mercy on USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1"

Precisely. We'll need his mercy. Expect more terrorist attacks, soaring energy prices etc. soon. That is how God manifests his anger towards a wicked nation. God, after all, destroyed the Soviet Union because it was wicked, he no doubt has something lined up for the USA. It has become very hard to be an American in this day and age. Being an American has become like being a Chicago Cubs fan. Everytime I get my hopes up, I am kicked in the teeth by my own nation yet again. Can someone who is on Terri's side (not the pro-death side) explain to me why I should contine to feel that the US is my country, not just someplace where I hang my hat.

And this vile bill was actually enacted into law?!

That state has gone to hell since Pete Wilson retired from public life.

They went to war against the "law of the land," to form their own independent nation because the "law of the land" violates certain unalienable human rights.

They went to war against a Gov't that gave them no representation. In order to protect themselves from another tyranical Gov't that acted without authority, they established a Constitution. The Chief Executive's oath of office is to protect the Constitution...not the Declaration of Independence. It doesn't mean the Declaration is irrelevant, it just means we are protected by the Constitution as the "law of the land".

#947 Is Awesome by Zacs Mom.

King Vanity asked that I print it out and put it up in his room in remembrance.

He is so angry and has been thrashing around violently for about an hour sweat beading up on his forehead.

He was proud at the anger in President Bush's voice and agrees with what the President said.

King hopes that those that didn't get it, get it now.

King Vanity in defense of Terri would like to strap Micheal Schiavo to the side of his bed and with his reflexive thrashing windmilling arm/fist, that trust me can knock you out with one blow, beat him to death.

HE has a right to his feelngs, as a fellow disabled Catholic Brother in Christ who has always turned a cheek to those who don't get it.

Terri your life has served to open eyes to the blind and expose the ignorance in out Society through the love of Christ.

Shame on all those who doubted your life, and then took it away when only God has that right.

Terri enjoy the Pinapple Pizza and Red wine with Jesus.

I'm Republican till the day I die.

Nothing on this planet will ever send me to that insane asylum called the Democrats.

Now that I'm Republican, I can criticize my party when the condition calls for it. This condition calls for it. They let her die. No. They let her be murdered by her estranged husband.

>>First, unless a person has a full written or video taped Living Will clearly stating their wishes in cases like this, no actions should be taken to end their life.

>>Second, if the spouse has moved on with their life, if they are living in adultery and/or has become engaged to another or has produced children from a relationship AFTER their legal spouse is incapacitated, they should be stripped of any and all say in the care and custody of their spouse. The only exception I can see to this is if a person makes it clear in a living will that they are acceptalbe of their spouse moving on with their lives if they were to become incapacitate and can not speak for themselves.

>>Third, if there is any conflict of interest, i.e. the lawyer(s) giving to a judge's reelection campaign, if the judge/lawyers are in anyway financially connected to the facility the person is housed in, they must recuse themselves from the case.

>>And finally, the law needs to be written so that a completely independent Guardian Ad Litem should be appointed to the person to assure their rights are being upheld.

>>I'm sure others can think of more changes that need to be made.<<

This is great.

I can think of more changes, too, and they can start with disagreeing with you on most of your propositions.

First, a written or a videotaped living will is more likely a death warrant once you become incapacitated. Anyone who faces their last moments with their reason clouded by pain killing drugs has forgone the opportunity to make peace with God in full consciousness and with resolute preparation.

Second, marriage is for life, divorce is a crime against God, and a convalescing spouse is God's manifest will that the other must therefore live a life of chastity until such time as God sees fit to take the weak one away. It's not up to us. It's not even up to the decision of the infirm spouse. It's up to God.

Third, well, yours sounds pretty good.

Fourth, this court-appointed guardian ad litem sounds to me like an opportunity for lawyers to make a rake on everyone who is allowed to live. Imagine the paperwork for hospitals, that everyone admitted must have a GAL document notarized first. What would emergency rooms do in a crisis? Good for the economy? Creates jobs? Maybe its time for China to invade us and put us out of our bureaucratic misery.

There was only ONE judge who didn't participate in this murder and that was the one dissenting judge on that three-judge panel. He can sleep well tonight. Everyone else who participated in this murder has blood on his/her hands.

And I wish comfort and peace same to you as well.

I forewarned my husband that I will have a breakdown over this at some point today.

We vacationed with a group of friends over the Easter weekend, and I cried over this at least once each day. On Saturday (we were in Austin) we almost jumped into our SUVs and drove to Fla., we were so out of our minds with anger and frustration. However, with nine kids between us, we stewed in Texas instead.

I cannot believe they killed her. I am stunned. I am numb. I think that's why the tears today have been delayed. I cannot accept the failure to prevent a murder, an impotence that tied the hands of the least of us, and the highest.

And I cannot abide the self-righteousness of her killers.

Which thread is it, I'd like to visit quietly and just see who the ones are to avoid in the future?

Thanks

Personally I feel great sadness for Terri and her REAL family, but in addition to that I feel a great disgust and horror at the judgment carried out against Terri.

"[Terri] is sucking up resources that could be used on others who have hope of contributing to society."

Folks, could someone please explain to me what kind of cruel, heartless being could say something like that? I may not be a religious person, but I know evil when I see and hear it; I just don't understand how a human being could utter something so base and, dare I say, animalistic. If someone can think this about a poor, defenseless, mentally handicapped woman, what would protect me against that sort of vile mindset?

Now her murders can make lots of pretty speeches on what an outrage this is.

This is a dark moment in the history of Western Civilisation. It was not a fascist regime which killed the weak and disabled, but the processes of a modern, functioning democracy.

Yes. And America has lost the moral authority to lecture other nations about their human rights abuses.

"Yes. Let us now abandon those who represent the Republican Party. That'll change things. That'll show the liberals. Let us now eat our own. How lovely."

I don't care. I just heard the Bushs' comments on Rush ... "The strong have a duty to protect the weak"... yeah, great, George... SO WHERE WERE YOU WHEN THIS ATROCITY WAS TAKING PLACE?" -- and we're supposed to feel sorry for Jeb, because this was just SOOOOO hard for him to deal with, as Governor. Aw, poor baby.

My respect (and thus my support) for these guys is history - and if that hurts the Republican party, so be it.
