This is the Roe v Wade of our time. That is why so many are so angry at the GOP and Bush. Roe v Wade defined legally when life begins, at birth, now Terry will define life ends when you can no longer communicate clearly a desire to live. We just can not let that happen. And any so called leader that walks away ain't worth squat.

I've talked to several in my family - my dad and some uncles - who are WWII vets. They're not just horrified, they're outraged. They knew at the time about the euthanasia connection, how it led to the rise of Nazi-ism.

I read that it went the other way -- that Greer recommended Felos to Michael Schiavo.

Either way, it indicates a horribly incestuous relationship. Those who would kill the useless eaters seek each other out.

IMO, abortion was the worst blow, but it really has been the Death of a Thousand Cuts. A little here, a little there, and pretty soon you have undermined a lot of what made America strong and decent.

It's probably true that the abortion tragedy is the most obvious and devastating blow in the ongoing effort to cheapen the value of human life. You're right, there have been others. The execution of an innocent person, Terri Schindler, at the hands of the government (the courts are a branch of the government, as so many kill Terri advocates seem to overlook) is but the latest egregious example.

Incrementalism has been the key for the death cult in this country. A little here, a little there, and slowly the pot begins to boil. By killing Terri Schindler, the death squads have shown that no longer will individual life and the right of the individual to live be the standard. It has been replaced by a projection, the "I wouldn't want to live like that" pronouncement by an outside agency who still enjoys the fullness of health and faculties for themselves, but because, by their judgment, they see that lacking in another, would condemn that person to death.

Amen. I've been torn between wanting her to live and go home with her parents, and wanting her suffering to be over and done with. The Death Cult may exault for now, but I believe it will be a Pyrric victory for them. Everyone I know is asking "who is next?"

Torn up. Torn apart. Torn between. me too.

Everyone with a heart knows that Terri is a human being, deserving of food, water, love and care.

But ever since these human needs have been denied, I keep praying that she isn't suffering, isn't aware. Please let her have selective hearing and only listen when the voices of those who love her, her mother, dad and siblings are speaking to her.

The news reports say that her family are being kept away from her now.
