After much hard work that has gone on for well over a year, it's been a week and 2 days since Terri has been without food and hydration.

Many asking the question how we could have become such a callous society as to deny a helpless human the basic necessity of food and water.

Terri's plight has brought to light many problems in the judicial system and opened our eyes to the fact that some laws need to be changed.

The work will continue to protect helpless individuals from suffering the same injustice as Terri.

If only John Kerry was the president, he would have sent
the military to attack the hospice center and rescue Terri.

I only hope Terri lives on until Hillary is elected in 2008.
Hillary will most certainly save Terri.

I just called Speaker Hastert's office, asking for an explanation as to why they weren't enforcing the subpoenas.

The man who answered the phone said it wasn't Speaker Hastert who'd issued the subpoenas, but Rep. Tom Davis's House Gov't Reform Committee.

However, he quickly added that Speaker Hastert and his staff are working with Rep. Davis's committee "around the clock" re the issue of enforcing the subpoenas.

He also said they were "inundated with calls" on this issue and that it was his job to tally them.

SO THEY'RE STILL LISTENING.

I urge everyone who can to call Speaker Hastert and Rep. Davis's offices.

Even if we can't save Terri, WE NEED TO LET OUR VOICES BE HEARD to counteract the phony push polls.

He certainly CAN, but remember that in the case with Reno, the courts were on her side and she knew it. Bush doesn't have that luxury, and the great probability is that even if he did act, the courts would again order Terri's tube be removed.

It's embarrassing to see a grown man and a conservative at that, acting like this. And these are our leaders?

Sheesh, there is nothing standing anymore between the body of conservatives and Christians in this country, from being attacked by the wolves in the Judiciary, who will even go so far as to commit 'civiside' (killing civilians who committed no crime) know legal authority trumps moral authority.

Mine said that the subpoena had been rescinded, pending a rescheduling of the hearing. I plan on calling back later today and see how that's going.

Work it out with who, Pollywog? They've BEEN trying to "work it out" but the Courts are WAY out of control. Everything goes back through the courts, and they've already proved which side they are on. It's futile.

The only hope we have now is that change is made to correct this imbalance in our government. I'm afraid it will be too late for Terri.

But I'm still praying for a miracle.

Oh, Lord, we look to You. Our hope is in YOU. And we trust You to work a miracle for Terri if that be Your will, and to carry her through in Your arms to her Heavenly Home if that is what best serves Your purposes. We TRUST You Lord, we trust You.

Do you think some Republicans who oppose Terri's murder will take this out on GWB by not making phone calls and sending emails to congressmen when important GWB initiatives come up for a vote in Congress.

I'm disgusted with my Senators and Rep, too.

I really still feel that she is being protected by God............if God brings her to it, HE CAN BRING HER THROUGH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree, and I wonder how that one drop of communion truly blessed her and her will to live.

My brother who is an 11 year survivor of a traumatic brain injury is so upset about this, I hadn't really talked to him about this very much, but he's convinced something mighty and wonderful is going to happen!

I'm sorry, Theodore, but that's a lie. President Bush has NOT been missing in Terri's fight. He made a special trip back to the WH from Texas and signed a bill into law in the middle of the night to save one person's life: Terri's.

Who is missing in Terri's fight is Judge Whittemore, who ignored that Law and did is own thing. Why is your anger not targeted at HIM?

I just know if these people get clobbered again, The president will anounce our mercy by sending aid. The US will RACE over there with food, water, and medicine for these people.. This to me, this senario will be so INSULTING in light of Terri's starvation and abuse by our Government..
