Part 7 - EASTER SUNDAY -NO FOOD OR WATER 10-11TH DAYS- SHE'S FIGHTING TO LIVE [Schiavo]

After much hard work that has gone on for well over a year, it's been a week and 2 days since Terri has been without food and hydration.

Many asking the question how we could have become such a callous society as to deny a helpless human the basic necessity of food and water.

Terri's plight has brought to light many problems in the judicial system and opened our eyes to the fact that some laws need to be changed.

The work will continue to protect helpless individuals from suffering the same injustice as Terri.

I found this account by James Dobson:

"Gary Bauer shares a story that occurred during one of his regular lunch meetings with the President. Each senior staff member was given an opportunity to raise an issue or two with "the boss," after gaining prior approval from the chief of staff. Without asking anyone, Gary discussed a problem that he knew would make his superiors uncomfortable. He told the President about a little girl in Bloomington, Indiana, who was suffering from severe life-threatening complications associated with Downs Syndrome. Apparently, the child's parents had received terrible medical advice and instead of seeking treatment, had the baby rolled into the corner of the hospital nursery where a sign was hung on the crib that said, "Do not feed." A Christian nurse observed this barbaric situation and called the White House, wondering if there was any legal recourse available.

As Gary spoke, he noticed that his colleagues flinched because this story was not the kind of topic that is worthy of the President's time. Then he looked at Mr. Reagan and saw that he had tears in his eyes. He had been deeply moved by Gary's account of the hurting child. He ordered that the Justice Department seek to protect her from those who would allow her to die.

Incredibly, the judges who are able to find legal justification for killing unborn babies could not figure out how to preserve the life of "Baby Doe." (Dobson, James C. 2004. Family News from Dr. James Dobson, June, Issue 7.)

Reading this, I'm reminded of a conversation with C. Everett Koop a couple years ago in which we discussed Baby Doe. Koop was the Surgeon General at the time of Baby Doe's murder and he told me that during the days of starvation his office in Washington D.C. received fifty offers of adoption for this little girl. But of course, the cruel mercies of the girl's parents and the Bloomington legal and medical community refused to allow any one of these fifty loving couples to adopt this little baby girl--she must die."

Actually, it's not true that the Executive branch can reject any judicial ruling. They are supposed to be equal branches of government, but the judicial system has grown grossly disproportionate to the other two branches. That HAS to change.

That is really an excellent point.

I would like to see an all out campaign to IMPEACH GREER, replete with large Demonstrations upon Tallahassee for an investigation into Terri Schindler's case!

I know...it's sick. Terri could have lived for years.

Yes, what is silly is often true in this failed republic of 2005. Savage said that GWB legacy was fixed this month -- all he can do now is go through the ceremonial duties of the executive office.

Heavenly Father, we return to thank You that even with the weariest of hearts, we can again seek Your favor on this mother's child as an appeal goes before the Supreme Court Justice. Is he the one, O Lord, for whom we have long prayed? The one who will render justice for this wounded woman? Continue to hold our beloved Terri close to Your loving heart ... may You be her breath and her sustenance, her portion until her earthly sojourn is over. Have mercy upon her grieving family, for they see her slipping beyond their grasp. Even in this late hour, O God, we pray for repentance from those who have sought the death of this innocent woman ... let no other hands become involved in this judicial homicide, but give divine wisdom and strength to just one who has the power to bring this beloved daughter back from the brink of death. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me. In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we pray, Amen ...

The people in FL do NOT want George W. Greer impeached. They like him. It takes 2/3 of both houses, and that is impossible. Greer will be popular and respected by the masses -- the judge who helped to put that "brain-dead" woman out of her misery.

What's needed is for people who can truthfully sport the following bumper sticker to do so:

Sorry I voted for GREER
IMPEACH HIM NOW

How many other judges running for re-election have gotten less than 70% of the vote? Given the size of Greer's war chest, the fact that he cheated, and the fact that his opponent was forbidden from saying anything about him, a 70% showing is actually pretty dismal.

The Schindler's have filed again to the USSC. I tell you these people are absolutely wonderful. I have never seen anything like it. No matter what happens, no matter what the enemy throws at them, no matter what the media spins, no matter how many politicians let them down, they plug ahead trying to save their daughter's life. It is a story of God's unconditional love. I admire them so much. That whole Schindler family has been acting like perfect Christians. My heros.

Remember, it was the now ailing Jerry Falwell who tried to warn Reagan about O'Connor, but Reagan was determined to get a "woman" on the high court and wouldn't listen.

There are a number of people who are VERY, VERY disturbed about this case. I think we should form an alliance with them and get to work investigating GREER and INSISTING that the Florida State Government investigate him and uncover the corruption in this case and expose it to the LIGHT of day.

Or should we sit back and DO NOTHING?

Why do people put bumper stickers on their cars at all? They put them there to make other people think.

I know. I've seen a lot of abortion bumper stickers, too.
